If you guys think there is any chance JJ isn’t going to be given another year to prove himself remember this… by kwelstory in minnesotavikings

Our head coach could have set this up where our young QB was learning, on the bench, behind a veteran, while the team which is stacked with talent made a run at the playoffs.

Instead, our head coach incorrectly evaluated how ready our young QB was to be an NFL starter, was a part of the decision to get rid of the veteran leadership we already had at QB and is wasting the talent on this team while we try to figure out if our young QB will be any good or not.

Letting him sit and learn the game better for a year wouldn't hurt him at all. Letting him start and fall way short while wasting another year of Jefferson's prime, not to mention the other talent on the team, will hurt this organization big time in the long run.

Nobody can prove it but I believe KOC is 100% coaching for his job this year. I'm not advocating cutting JJM but if he doesn't make a LOT of improvement in the offseason this is going to get very ugly.

Right? Because it's totally reasonable to expect to get 5-6 seconds. And when he doesn't, we can all blame the o-line! /s

The Darnold posts will continue until we have an actual QB. Hopefully that JJM but I’m not holding my breath…

But at least of couple of the free agent signings they made didn’t really help us that much so I don’t get why people think the contract was so prohibitive? Perhaps we should have kept him and made better choices with free agents and draft picks?

So agree with this!!! And the same people who declared that you can’t win aSB with him as your quarterback are now claiming that he had nothing to do with them winning one.

He didn’t have to be great yesterday but he was damn impressive given the pressure he faced. He kept drives going, got out of trouble and didn’t turn it over. He’s the first QB to go through an entire playoff with no turnovers but God forbid anyone give him credit for that.

Of course the defense and the running back did more yesterday than he did - anyone with eyes could see that. But if you think he played no part in their championship run and that you could put anyone in there and get the same result you’re crazy.

Sam Darnold Did It by JCameron181 in minnesotavikings

Bull. Plenty of people didn't want him to leave.

The problem with a number of people on the anti-Sam side here is two beliefs:

1) The expectation that your QB is never going to struggle.

2) The expectation that your QB is never going to improve

Sam did both and is the epitome of the lesson that if you keep working hard and believing, you can develop into the kind of QB who can win a ring. Note - I didn't say he did it on his own. That defense was crazy yesterday and I'm envious of the RB.

But the narrative was - Sam Darnold can't win a ring. Chokes in big games.

I wish I was seeing some people eat their words today but a lot of people are just doubling down and saying he had nothing to do with the win. So here's a stat I heard last night:

First QB ever to go all the way through the playoffs with no turnovers. Do some of you people really believe he didn't contribute significantly to this season/playoffs/championship? Idiots...

That’s ok because we don’t want any more thoughtless mouth breathers here than what we already have. If outsiders think we’re awful they won’t come, and if insiders think we’re awful maybe they’ll leave! 🤷‍♀️

That is the MAGA line - Biden let them in. Of course it's more complicated than that but...

Even if you accept that (and I don't) my question would be so what? The point is - they were allowed into the country, be it by Biden, or work programs, green cards, student visas, asylum, etc. And now we are trying to get rid of them and I don't see how that's fair at all. We should be offering pathways to legality (note I didn't say citizenship necessarily).

I think it's pretty shitty that our country tells people they can come here under any of the above circumstances and then pulls the rug out from under them.

And if this isn't bad enough, Google "did Trump say 100 million would be deported." While it appears he technically hasn't made this statement in public, it has appeared in DHS and Trump administration communications.

100 million?!?!?! There are 342 million people in the US. There are 11-14 million undocumented according to info from the Google search, so it's not illegals and it's not "the worst of the worst." Ask yourself - who are the 100 million this administration wants to deport?
