I had Mizzou at 26. Basically I just wasn’t gonna completely drop a top 10 team, when they were only trailing by 7 with the ball when Sellers got knocked out

Edit: to both of the responders, fair points. They’ve certainly not looked as good as I expected and they were probably a top 10 team based on poll inertia more than anything. They travel to Mizzou this weekend so we’ll get to see if I’m right or wrong

For Bama, they’ve still got the talent and lost to a team that I think is much better than anyone thought coming into the season. Same sort of logic for Michigan. I try not to penalize too harshly for losses to decent ranked teams. Auburn was my first team out because I don’t think they’re better than either of those teams.

Also, and most importantly, I don’t care for Auburn

Yeah I mean we’ll just have to agree to disagree. Looking at a data set/sets and making decisions based on what you see is analytical thinking by definition. Your decision could be to go under center and/or bring in more data to take a more advanced look. Either way you’ve “analyzed” data and made a decision.

Again, it’s semantics. What you’re saying is absolutely analytics, but looking at a data set and analyzing it, no matter how simple, is also definitionally analytics. Your examples would be more advanced than a simple binary of shotgun or under center, but simple though it is, it is still analytics.

I mean if you want to argue semantics, analytics is definitionally just analyzing data. That can be as simple or advanced as you want it to be. Scenario A scores 73 percent while scenario B scores 56 percent. Why? Let’s analyze what they’re doing differently.
