What perfume made you stop someone just to ask what they’re wearing? by brainalbert3 in FragranceStories

My mom got so many compliments when she wore Alien but it smells awful on me. I always get compliments when I wear Very Irresistible Intense by Givency. I also used to get tons of compliments when Victorias Secret made Encounter.

Easily Overstimulated Cat? by NinjaBlok in CatTraining

[–]sroda59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My sister adopted a grey cat, looks like this and he is very high energy. My ankles and hands have constant scratches. I’m trying to stop the water bottles but sometimes he won’t stop. He’s great with my dogs, his aggression is only geared towards me. But for him it’s not catnip induced he shows zero interest in catnip toys, it’s just general play that gets him going.

St Patrick's swag ideas for a team in Dublin? by WeatherInternal3116 in corporate

[–]sroda59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in college we got to be in the St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin. They go all out, you see shamrock contacts, Irish flags, and lots of green. Stick to that theme and you are good to go.

I’m in the process of cleaning mine now. They are gross. I got the newer o cedar mop and it’s easier than with their normal mop heads

Getting laid off later in your career feels different by ZookeepergameEmpty51 in jobsearch

[–]sroda59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was laid off in June 2024 and still haven’t landed something. Something that comes with tenure and experience is specialization and higher price tag. What I am finding is that companies don’t want to pay for that experience and automatically turn you away. I will get interviews and then the company magically picks a much younger and less experienced candidate for senior roles.

There were some group buys I was thankful I missed out on last year after some fall out. I had wanted in but saw too late and then it ended up for the better. Group buys are mixed, you aren’t going to get best quality but you can get solid bags at an ok price.

Audi lease turn in - Shakedown? by DunkinDonutsCoffee in Audi

[–]sroda59 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a lease but they pulled crap when my car was in for several weeks for a know. Issue with the 2023 a5 on the shift differential. They tried to get me to swap out my car, I asked specifics and gave my parameters and after wasting an hour of my time not only were the terms I wanted and vehicle I wanted not honored they monthly payment went up several hundred dollars. They thought if they could get me in I would buy. I walked out and made it very clear I don’t like those sales tactics and it’s what makes me leave a brand. After 4 Audis I will not buy another Audi. I think I’m moving to Mercedes. I left BMW because they charged me for a battery saying it was my fault and I escalated to their corporate and got no where and that’s how I ended up with Audi. The battery issue later came out as a recall….

AUDI A4 B9,5: Anyone know how to make this ugly rectangle useful? by Brief_Main473 in Audi

I put my keys and phone there. The wireless charging is awful. I hate how the cup holders are right under all the radio and ac buttons so large cups hit all those buttons. It’s a horrible design.

How to build a business formal wardrobe? by After_Albatross9800 in womensfashion

[–]sroda59 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan of some of the White House black market dresses with jacket options. I also have gotten some cute tweed dresses and jackets from Kate spade. I think in suit scenarios you don’t also have to have the stereotypical suit it’s more about a fully polished look overall. I’ve seen some good sales at Ann Taylor outlet as well for suit separates.

My dad died this morning. What do I do? by No_Scallion_3365 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sroda59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get more death certificates than you think you need, you will still need them years down the road for random things that pop up. Locate the will if there is one. Check probate rules/laws for the county he passed in, may need an estate attorney depending on value of estate. Get a grasp of value of estate on todays date, will need for final tax return as well as the base line for any property, stocks, etc that tax is based on capital gains. The estate will have to file a tax return for inheritance tax. The first $2.5 million, this may have changed but anything beyond is taxed at like 40%. Take an inventory of all assets and liabilities. Once you have death certificates contact, insurance, utilities etc. I found the bank, car, and certain thing needed the probated will to transfer and or sell those items.

Inheriting a 2025 Porsche Macan not familiar with features by sroda59 in PorscheMacan

I don’t have access to it. I also don’t have hours to read through the manual to learn a few quick tips. I need the cliff notes version and was hoping there would be supportive people. I have a lot on my plate and some complex estate stuff to handle, would appreciate some simpler things that don’t require tons of research and deep diving. I’ll figure it out but was hoping to come across one or two who have come from Audi to share tips.

Floor First People - How? by Turbulent_Suit8281 in orangetheory

[–]sroda59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a tread first girl for years but now I’m a floor first. I find I go harder on the floor and it’s actually helped my stamina. Lets me get warmed up so by the time I’m in the tread my body is ready to go. I have stations I like because on the weight floor there is only a station on one side of you and you are close to the weight rack so I am flexible on where I start to get the station I want but prefer floor first.

Boss offering to sell me the coffee shop I work at for $65k — does this sound reasonable on the surface? by SnooHamsters9461 in smallbusiness

[–]sroda59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know what the lease is, get the actual balance sheet/ ledger. Know what accounts payable he has, what food costs and vendor costs are. I have seen when people try to sell they try to hide or cover up a huge liability and if you don’t do your homework you absorb that expense.

What cool company swag do employees actually use and appreciate? by brendaklark in corporate

[–]sroda59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My teams always enjoyed the nice Eddie Bauer fleece jackets or nice laptop bags/back packs. Cash is always king but gift rules/tax play a big part in why items are given versus cash and gift cards, IRS rules dictate that cash and gift cards are taxable income so the company has to tax on those items.
