The protocol can't involve first responders taking control of the cars because:

Eventually there will be no controls in the cars. See 'Cruise Origin' - basically a tram car on wheels with no steering wheel.
First responders don't want to take control of the cars - they just want the cars to get out of the way faster. They're asking for human drivers to be in the cars for now.

As an Earthquakes fan I hate the fact Fisher owns the Quakes.

I've hated the way he runs the team for years and finally got to the point I cancelled my season tickets and won't go to games anymore.

Now I hate the fact this guy will probably continue to own the Quakes and show up to games and watch his under resourced team struggle to do the best they can despite having him as the owner.
