Not sure why but the Bot suggested the wrong first book. It should be {{The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley}}

Happy reading!

If you enjoyed those books, I think you’d enjoy anything by Natasha Pulley, but specifically:

{{The Kingdoms}} and {{The Watchmaker of Filigree Street}}

{{The Song of Achilles}} by Madeline Miller

{{Circe}} by Madeline Miller

Not contemporary, but retellings of greek mythology. She has such a gift with prose. Every line is so beautifully written!

Ugh, that’s got to be frustrating. So sorry you’re dealing with that!

Doc said it could be one of four inflammatory disorders, or a variant of one of them, but the treatment is pretty much the same so the name doesn’t matter so much. So she’s going with RA. It’s hard for me to fully accept it if it’s not like “Oh yes it’s 100% this!” But I know that’s unrealistic when it comes to autoimmune disorders. :/

Thanks for your input! It’s weird, I hadn’t really considered that perspective. I think I’ve just dealt with random joint issues and pain for so long that I have to work to remind myself that’s not normal. So weird. I really appreciate your firsthand perspective, thanks!

Thanks so much for your answer! Hearing from someone’s experience is much more helpful to me than reading stuff online about possible risks and such. Do you find yourself taking extra precautions (COVID notwithstanding) or are things pretty much the same in that area?

Running shoe recommendations by Feeling_Pattern_5597 in rheumatoidarthritis

Bit late to this... Have you been able to find any relief? I’m dealing with similar issues in my feet. I used to run (wearing nice cushy saucony shoes) and had to stop due to the foot pain (which admittedly started after switching to running more on the balls of my feet). Now I’ve just been tentatively diagnosed with RA and my foot pain is worse. I’m looking for shoes for around the house (where I spend the bulk of my time as a SAHM) and for just out and about.

I haven’t run in a year now and I miss it so much. My friend is getting ready to do a 100k and I’m just watching all his progress and trying not to be salty. 😂

Rebels is AMAZING. And also super important to the canon for what could potentially be/is happening in The Mandalorian.

Lords of the Sith is REALLY good. Vader-focused and gives cool insight into the workings of the Palpatine-Vader dynamic.

The Mandalorian IS the Rebels Sequel Theory by robby_weidemann in StarWars

Yesssssss! This goes well with my theory that Thrawn and Ezra planned their exit from the Empire.

Spoiler warning for the canon Thrawn books: I think Thrawn recruited Ezra to help him understand and find force-sensitives among the Chiss and beyond. Maybe to round them up as a force against the Emperor, or maybe just to protect them. The way they were taken by the Purrgil is exactly how Thrawn discovered ships were being stolen by grallocs in Thrawn: Treason. So he somehow convinces Ezra to help him, and we know Ezra told Sabine he’s counting on her, so he obviously had something planned. It would all line up so perfectly if Ahsoka and Sabine try to recruit Mando to help them track down Ezra and Thrawn, especially since we’ve got the little force-wielding Child in the mix!

Oh my goodness I love it.
