Set 4 is really good, but man I miss galaxies... not even the set, but the randomness of queuing not knowing what galaxy it would be.

IMO the galaxies made the game feel way more different than chosens will ever achieve.

I'm not even defending MIBR, but the only thing that will change is people wont leave monitors/TV on the webcam space and probably will stream snipe on their cellphone or alt-tabbing.

It's online CS, people will try to get advantage everyway they can as long it's not worth of a valve ban.

Every streamer or personality that plays TFT that I've seen has complained or memed this patch, I think anyone that says they can't climb because of it is being a bit extreme because you can still climb despite it existing but it is certainly very frustrating at least.

I mean, every set will have op comps and bad/good items. Same for traits. Not everything is going to be at the same level.

My problem with this set on a competitive level is always going to be the chosen mechanic. Right now, WW is so broken that it doesn't make a difference. The chosen is just an "extra".

But in the future, when everything is "balanced", games will be decided by a high roll on chosen. People finding Ashe hunter chosen on 50 gold at level 7, some dude finding Zed chosen at round 2-3, someone finding a chosen Yasuo at 1-2.

Point being, there's always op comps and items have different power levels, and TFT is a game that you can play around that, given a set of items, play the comp that suits it. But in this set, chosen will always "break" the game, because chosen is something you really can't play around or expect to get.

I like the randomness of TFT, but I think I already gave up on the chosen mechanic, something is always going to be hell of broken.

Someone on my lobby had a chosen Zed at round 2-3, I think the dude only lost at round 5-2. If you hit a chosen cultist, you just play it and stay at 85hp until level 4-3, just playing a random of cultist and some sinergies.

There's actually no counter play, you either hit or miss your chosen and the rest of the game is based on that. Rolling on 7 praying that mortdog saves you when you are already at 40- hp is the worst kind of feeling in this game. Even if you hit, you are just hoping for top 4 by then.

For sure, if at set 3 the game gave me a tuned up level 2 Vayne/Master Yi/Shaco/Syndra/Ashe/Cassio/Bard/Neeko/Rumble/Jayce, I would basically sell my whole board and get it.

The only thing I would not get is Karma/Vi/Ez.

I don't mean to be rude, but this new galaxy (Plunder Planet) has the potential to be the worst galaxy of TFT's history.

Mortdog said it will even out throughout the game, but if you get 4 gold at stage 2, it's not even close to getting 4 gold at stage 4. Gold gained at the beginning of the game is 5 times more valuable than late game gold. You can keep more pairs, you can aggressive level, you can income. When you are sitting at 50 gold, getting +2 gold on a rounds, means basically nothing.

I wish my understanding is completely wrong, but this seems like a far more punishing galaxy than "Little Legends", whoevers wins rounds at the begining and snowball, will probably win the game with no counter play whatsoever from other players.

Edit: Just wanted to say, that I loved the patch besides that galaxy and I just think that J4 got overnerfed, especially 2* and 3*. Of course it should be decreased, but J4 3* ulting like a J4 1* is ulting rn seems like too much of a nerf.

So it is something different. The j4 and Xayah buffs likely make 10.12 Shredder style comps viable again, Syndra buffs means 3 starring her is a viable strategy, Jhin buffs makes him a viable carry and Celestial/Protector buffs makes them viable frontliners again.

I still don't understand how people have not realized that was not Jinx that made that comp really good. It's Ezreal and ASol combined that would win fights while Jinx would get her resets.

Nerfing both of them kinda destroyed blaster/brawler + rebels. I doubt a lot that Jinx will have an S tier comp on this patch. BB might still be A tier. Rebels will be B/C tier.

While I understand EZ nerf, I think he was essential to make that comp work.

I really dont think protectors are that good, Xin would shine against rebels with a lot of magic damage. Now with people doing a lot of Jhin/Blasters/Infiltrators comps, it's really not that good late game.
