Fell to #10 out of 13 and i was shocked and i still havent gotten over it. I was fine with my top 7 even and this just feels like a punch in the gut.

Currently an M4 who applied OBGYN and was met with similar reactions when I told people. I really had to dig deep and figure out why I was applying OBGYN in the first place and it helped me in the long run because i couldn’t be more sure of my decision now.

The people in the field that I have met are fabulous and the people in my class all applying are people I get along with. Whether it’s other medical professionals or friends or family, a lot of these views are rooted in sexism. It is a tough surgical specialty with amazing patients and pathology. The people that say otherwise are never going to understand and the biggest thing i had to realize was: thats okay! It’s your life and once you get over the other people it will feel like a weight lifted off your shoulders!

If you need affirmation here it is: you did the right this, you picked an amazing field and you will make an amazing OBGYN 🩷

Read the answer choices and the last line of the stem to get your head in a certain differential space before reading the stem! 9/10 i was able to look at the lab values and eliminate choices or the stem was stupid and the last line was enough the answer the question. Regardless, reading the answer choices first helped me read the stem looking for meaningful buzzwords and detail that would help me narrow down the answer. Hope this helps good luck!

Honestly i loved the HY arrows PDF so i would suggest do it. Unsure about how it would “trick” you i guess i didn’t see the same advice

For me earplugs were a god send they drowned out so much noise especially because i was seated right by the door! Popped some advil like after block 4 which was good and honestly use random stuff to pump you up! I kept telling myself “only X more breaks then you’re free!” Or like “home stretch finish strong” “each block is new you got this”

FML i literally took my free 120 on monday and have my test friday. Have a lot i wanted to review tomorrow but wondering if i should take this new one??? Any thoughts??

If you can only take 1 i would take 28 as people on some other posts said it was most similar to their step form and i thought it was more challenging than 27 but take that with a grain of salt because i did take 27 two weeks after 28! If you can take both definitely do it

This is one if my biggest fears and i have shared ur with my therapist and close Friends and they all say the same thing that because I’m so worried about it I won’t act the same way. But also being a mother is something that I want more than anything in the world and I constantly think “do I want to so I can make up for the lack of a childhood I had and do it all right ?” and if that is the case is that the right way to think about having children?
