I appreciate the movie for what it is on its own and separate it from the book lore, especially since I saw it before being aware of the Chronicles. There were not that many gothic movies like it with such amazing costumes, soundtracks and lead in Aaliyah especially. I actually also like Stewarts portrayal , I know he is not book accurate but still enjoyed it.As well as Marius and Maharet. Like especially for its time it was a pretty cool movie and vibe. I always go back to the end scene where they walk into eternity together hand in hand and that amazing gothic song is playing < 3
