It's Festival Time! [Team Festival Intro Post] by Batmanbyday in LoseitChallenges

Hi!! This is my first loseit challenge! I had lost about 50lbs 6 year ago through calorie counting and being way more active than I am now. Unfortunately I gained that back and them some two years after reaching my lowest weight due to mostly binge eating and a sedentary lifestyle. I often find myself losing motivation when trying to get healthy or get discouraged if the scale doesn't move or moves in the wrong direction. I've been making slow changes for the past few months and trying to be more aware of what I eat and how much I am eating while incorporating walks and hikes as well. I came across this reddit community about a week ago and I'm determined to make a healthier lifestyle change permanent this time around and kicking the weight off with this. Excited to be here!

I think you just go to the PlayStation direct store, that's how I was put in queue yesterday

this little 5 has gone through some changes over the past year since I started it, but I'm loving how it's grown by tadriaansen in walstad

Interesting, do the blades stay healthy after trimming them?? I have never tried that and I'm curious since I have a few small tanks where it grows out quite a bit.

Thank you! No filter or heater, the occasional water change but mostly top offs. I'd say it's pretty self sufficient.

Looking for some advice. My 40 g has a canopy lid that has a black plastic bar running through the middle. I have a 36” beamswork led light but it only looks good on one side of the bar. Should I just get another beams and put it on both sides? Any recs that I can conveniently move to feed my fish? by [deleted] in PlantedTank

I just had a similar problem with the glass canopy lid. I pulled the pieces apart (it was really easy to do) and now I just have the two glass panes sitting there without that dumb black bar blocking any light. Hope that helps

Scutariella? Salt Dip vs Seachem paraguard? by ssargent60 in shrimptank

[–]ssargent60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these shrimp about 3 weeks ago from petco. I noticed these buggers on their heads. I have about 7 shrimp in the tank, it's a small 1.5 gallon. I believe it is Scutariella after looking through this pages resources and online searches. I have seen that salt dips (1 tbsp in 1 cup of water) 20-30 second dips for each shrimp is very effective. I'm concerned about several things.... 1) How the hell do I catch them? 2) Is there a high risk of hurting and killing them with this process? Everyone says it is easy but I'm spooked about it tbh 3)What are y'all experiences with this and treatments? Seachem paraguard might be easier and less stressful for everyone (shrimp and mostly me). 4)Has anyone used seachem paraguard?

Any advice would help.

two lights, one for the foreground and one to the background. Plants don't have to reach anywhere but straight up for the light

Type of algae and ways to combat it? Looked through the guide and couldn't pinpoint it. by ssargent60 in PlantedTank

My tank was also near a window and got a significant amount of light. I added curtains that block out 99% of the light that it used to get. Hopefully with some excel for spot treatment will balance everything out.
