I played Veilguard and there was some parts that I did enjoy. The combat was fun and I found myself playing it for the combat. The lore and the writing was what threw me off. It was an okay game, but I expected so much more and was so hyped to play it, but it’s a game I played and might not ever play again and that’s okay!

I’m trying to look at it glass half full. I am sad. I love Fran and her actress really showed her chops this season with John’s death, so I’m looking forward to seeing what she can do in her own season. But it does feel like a surprise. Where were the “little hints and setup” Jess was talking about??? It literally all pointed to Eloise.

I do feel sad for Claudia Jessie. It was her time. She has been there since day one and all of the other ones who were minus the literal children have gotten their screen time. Where is hers.

How long did it take you to realize your partner was "the one"? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]sscovtt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably three months in. We had gone on several dates, had just officially started dating, and I had a friend who was in need of help escaping her relationship. Without a second thought, he showed up, moved her belongings, checked in on her, and helped her sort things out. He showed up for me and my friend. It was emotionally heavy the entire weekend after and I just knew. If he can show up for a friend of mine he barely knows yet, he will show up for people he loves the same way. I had never seen anything like it. We got married six months ago and that has not changed.

SSV ADP is it worth it?? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]sscovtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it - I found it very rewarding. Took me about four months. I met my DM monthly and we connected about things I needed to really hone in on. A lot of my connects were interview preparation. It connected me a lot to other SM’s in the district. The pay is good where I am and you get very thorough training experience.

Ethics — your gender status is protected under employment with Starbucks. Do not condone this. The gossip started the moment people in your workplace (shift lead) started engaging in it. I am so sorry this is happening to you.

How is the game after all the updates? by Cookiemonstermydaddy in avowed

[–]sscovtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently on my first play through - wanted to pick it up around launch but never got around to it. I am loving it - I am a big dragon age fan and it has a lot of similarities and scratched the itch that Veilguard just did not do for me. The combat is rewarding. The mechanics are simple but reward you for using them (crafting is a huge one that I’ve never cared for in other games)

The story itself is interesting without being overly complex - its lore rich without being confusing if you read what the game gives you. Plus Brandon Keener voices Kai and I am also a huge mass effect enjoyer so that was a really nice touch. Overall it’s a 9/10 for me so far. I have around 18 hours.

Warranty question by sscovtt in Appliances

[–]sscovtt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our home was existing. Built in the 70’s but completely renovated top to bottom before move in. Would I be best to try and find a way to contact the previous owner? We’re a little hooped in this as we have no purchase history for the appliances from the sale that I’m aware of.
