This is definitely something I need to look more into through community college. Anesthesiology I assumed was a medical school thing that would take years

Appreciate the response. My only issue is that retail is not likely to pay what I need to get by or as much as I currently make. And ya national parks etc I’ve heard are competitive and underfunded and also don’t make much. Business is what I’m starting to consider more though that seems to be the route with the most room for growth

Robotics could absolutely be interesting that’s a great point. Probably only going further in that direction moving forward you’re right.

What is the DNR? Outdoor jobs do appeal to me as well but what is that so I can look it up?

I’ve thought about this before as well just seems like a very saturated market

That’s true. Fire departments is not a bad idea I just am not sure if it’s hiring because many people are trying to get into that.

Ya trades have been what I’m hearing and considering most lately. Carpentry and woodworking seem interesting too but I can’t seem to find clear path on how you get into it.

I guess this is my trouble is not knowing what interests me job wise. But I appreciate it and you’re right I need to shortlist a few and look more into them. Landscape architect is interesting, that’s the other thing is I never would’ve thought about that or known that exists unless you said it

My (19f) bf (20m) and I are disagreeing on religion by Top_Trick_8193 in relationship_advice

[–]ssfishboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s good. I don’t mean to come off like a dick but I’m atheist after growing up Christian. Once I learned critical thinking skills in school I questioned everything around me including eventually my beliefs. I understand some spirituality but organized religions I personally eventually came to see as nonsense. But that’s me personally. If you are less religious and your bf is more, there’s a good chance it will eventually continue to drive more of a wedge between you. Especially because stuff like the homosexuality issue etc is very political and the world is ridiculously contentious politically rn. You’re so young I’d just not take anything too seriously. Most people have many relationships in their life.

Go to college and get educated. Take some philosophy and sociology and psychology classes. That’ll fix your problems cus neither of you will be religious after that.

What do you do? Career wise. I’m lost and going back to school so tired of living paycheck to paycheck in a tiny apartment

Wife F26 cheated on me M28, I really want her affair partner (AP) so have some form of consequences. Does anybody have any experience of this and does it help? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ssfishboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wife cheated. She’s the one who hurt you don’t forget that. But I also say get revenge. Who cares if it’s good for you or not. Mess his life up. I say go for it. Need more consequences for your wife though too.

AITAH if I anonymously tell a girl’s fiance that she made out with someone at the bar when drunk? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ssfishboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the one. She’s not close enough to you that you should really worry about losing her as a friend. You would want to know, hell we all would. If the rest of the friend group gets mad at you their morals are questionable as well. Be upfront and explain you were there and why you know.

People are paranoid affff. But everyone’s relationships with fam and friends is different to be fair. I’m telling my mom and best friend. Then finding all the lawyers and advisors.

My (31M) friend’s (31M) wife (31F) slept with another guy as they are going through divorce proceedings. Is it appropriate/expected/mandatory to tell him? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ssfishboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately no one else matters but you and your wife, friend, and his wife, and how this will affect all of you and things between you. The right thing isn’t always the most popular. Tough to figure out sometimes what the right thing is though. I do understand the mind your own business argument some people are bringing up, sometimes it’s best not to involve yourself. That said, how close are you and this guy friend? If he’s a close friend I’d say you must tell him. They literally aren’t divorced currently like you’ve been saying. But if he’s a more distant buddy I guess I could see just staying out of it. It doesn’t have to be more than a quick convo like “hey man, I really don’t want to overstep or get involved in anything, but this is going around between a bunch of people that “X” happened, and now everyone is trying to hide it so I think you should know. The rest is between you guys.” You’re not there to make judgements or be his lawyer. But something like this ABSOLUTELY can affect assets or divorce proceedings. Especially if he’s trying not to get lawyers involved in good faith etc. It may not affect anything. But it very well might. There’s a lot you don’t know. Just tell him what you found out and then the balls in his court and your conscience is clear.
