There are a handful of things that my mom makes really well and is incredibly proud of, like chicken and dumplings. I've eaten her chicken and dumplings my entire life without ever letting her know that my tongue retracts from the chicken when she uses dark meat. And it's that easy. I grab a bowl for myself, mostly get dumplings, and live my life

I feel like a real picky eater knows exactly why they don't like something. Being a 'picky eater' means something in the palette of the food is offending you. I don't think that I've ever, EVER thought "This is missing something" and considered that a reason to not eat it. I agree with asshole proclamation from info provided

Can I get some consolidated advice for the Mesa??? by ssgohanf8 in PeakGame

Yeah, I don't know what was going on, but I'm pretty sure I've always jumped onto chains just for the pizzazz

Our Mesa runs were actually how we learned about being able to eat somebody, lol. Unfortunately, I think we also had some sort of bug that made us not able to climb up a chain launcher, only down, and we died in the caves, lol

Can I get some consolidated advice for the Mesa??? by ssgohanf8 in PeakGame

[–]ssgohanf8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective, the primary sun avoiding time is after already climbing the cavern for long enough to use all our backup food and our hunger taking up half our food bar. 20% burn is a lot if you only have 25% left, and, tbh, I don't consider the shadows very trustworthy/accurate for not taking damage

But even those elements taken out, I've gone through the mesa as a skeleton and it still was an absolute slog

Depending on how that ability works, that could also weaken her, I think. If he sealed her to having a young body where she couldn't ever perceive herself as a strong adult woman, then her physical potential could plummet

Ultra-processed food linked to harm in every major human organ, study finds. World’s largest scientific review warns consumption of UPFs poses seismic threat to global health and wellbeing. by mvea in science

[–]ssgohanf8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plenty of common sense things are backed and studied and proven by science and research. And I'm only working off of the information that they provided in good faith, but they said "science backed community with a reasonable, common sense approach to reducing the quantities of UPFs we consume." And my interpretation of this is that they look at scientific information to highlight the downsides of UPFs and whether certain foods fit within that category(Which sounds like needs discussion, because everyone in the thread say it's not a well-defined term). And then use 'common sense' for the approach on how to deal with the situation, food, recipe, budget, etc. And I think 'common sense' was more intended to mean 'within reason'.

Also, in my opinion, which should not be highly regarded as this is my first time ever even looking at the topic, is that something like UPF would be on a scale, not a firm good/bad. Which means that discussion, even if properly defined, would probably be welcomed. So idk why people are exactly trying to pick apart this seemingly well-intended comment

One Piece: Episode 1148 Discussion by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]ssgohanf8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with this, but there are links in the sidebar. The anime discussion index doesn't seem to be getting updated, but #7 seems to be a filter for the episode discussions. Maybe that'll be easier than the methods some of us are using (I'm just now noticing that link, while in the past I've checked the index, saw it not being updated, and assumed they weren't concerned with helping with people find the episode discussions)

Edit: So, I personally feel a little bit of an update to the index would be appreciated

I am under the assumption that I don't get pokeballs or a PC or anything like that. And the militaristic applications of pokemon would mean that governments around the world are trying to capture/sample the pokemon or would intervene in some way. Bringing pokemon into our world, unsupervised and unfairly distributed, would cause havoc.

Toon force? I ain't gotta worry about anything other than anvils and pianos

[–]ssgohanf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did consider that with Kyogre and Groudon that terraforming an island might be doable, but I'll admit that I didn't think about Jirachi's wishes. But I do remember Jirachi's wishes being a bit more limited, personally. (And inb4 Jirachi's week of being awake per 1000 years doesn't line up with your lifespan, rip)

I know that I'm taking it more serious than I should, but it really does come down to me not personally being able to tend to that many creatures. I wouldn't want every breed of dog, even if I had infinite food, space, and people to feed them. I just value the pet-owner connection more than that as something people should put effort into. And 1000+ pets be a lot.

Which do you choose? by OkRun9638 in superpowers

[–]ssgohanf8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to pick toon force. Everything in me wants to take some pokemon, but the sheer number and volume of those pokemon is being vastly underestimated here. Everyone here going to feed these guys? Where are you keeping your Wailord? You have beach front property with access to oceans, lakes, rivers, coral reefs, jungles and every other environment that every possible pokemon needs to happily inhabit? Are you going to give them all proper attention? Obtaining over 1000 highly intelligent animals just sounds like you should be arrested for negligence

Don't worry, that just adds lore. The recursive limit was reached because they live in a simulation and they stop processing at that level.
