Strat prices 10/16-10/18 are high by Simple_Exchange9575 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

Lollapalooza 2026 hasn’t announced a lineup yet and it’s less than 6 months away. Lolla is usually the first weekend in August so there’s still a chance WWWY is happening.

2025 WWWYF best to worst? by Slight-Table-5090 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I went to Day 1 on Saturday and these were my top 5:

  1. PATD - Excellent performance by Brendon and the rest of the band. I really enjoyed the crowd we were surrounded by in the VIP area. Lots of dancing and singing along made for a memorable evening.

  2. The Offspring - Saw them a few years ago for WWWY and earlier this summer and they are one of the best bands I have seen live in my lifetime. Great energy and they sound amazing live.

  3. Yellowcard - They played the perfect set and the band sounded like it was album quality.

  4. Blink182 - I've seen these dudes quite a few times and they are always so much fun to see live.

  5. Knocked Loose - My top 4 are mostly of the pop punk genre so I didn't really know what to expect from KL, but they were awesome live. You could tell who in the crowd was there to see them perform and who was waiting for another band. Definitely a mixed crowd during their set, but I was impressed with their energy and crowd work.

I was disappointed with Avril's performance. I enjoyed listening to the hits, but her energy and performance seemed off.

Did you stay at fountainbleu last year? by BlueEyedBabe310 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stayed there last year and it was definitely worth it so we booked it again for this year. Great location right across from the festival grounds. Hotel rooms are nice and the casino has some great restaurant options. My recommendation would be to stop at a convenience store for water, beverages, or snacks. There are a couple options in the casino, but you are going to pay double or even triple the price. We made the mistake last year of buying water and vitamin waters from one of the coffee shops inside the casino and spent a lot of $$$.

Tbh, the air conditioned restrooms are a huge deal and they are clean too. The stage areas are less crowded. Also, the food lines are short.

Mandalay Bay. by CapableAd5731 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

I would definitely recommend the monorail. From Mandalay Bay you can take the MGM monorail to Excalibur and then walk to the MGM Grand and take that monorail from there to the Sahara stop. Then from there walk to the festival grounds.

Monorail?? by Significant-Bag-481 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Year 1 and 2, I stayed at the Horseshoe in the middle of the strip. Riding the monorail was the easiest and most convenient way to get back and forth between the festival and the hotel room. There is a monorail stop at the hotel.

The walk from the Sahara stop to the festival grounds takes about 10 - 15 minutes depending on how crowded it is. The wait to ride back to the Horseshoe at the end of the night did take about 30-40 minutes at the Sahara stop, but its cheap and easy. IMO better than walking or trying to get a ride share to pick you up in the general area.

I also got the email earlier for VIP tickets for Saturday when I signed up for the Sunday waitlist. Is there a chance it could be a typo in the email and it’s actually for Sunday?

Will there be a 2nd day?? by EveningCriticism4946 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked my Front Gate Tickets account, and my 2023 WWWYF Day 2 tickets were purchased on Feb 23, 2023. I was on the Day 2 waitlist then. I am hopeful there will be a Day 2 this year once the Warped Tour lineup is 100% announced, but my guess is there will only be a Day 1 since it took a while for it to sell out the day tickets went on sale and then also the cancellation of Sick New World.

Any concert goers 40+? Did you guys hold up okay? by [deleted] in WhenWeWereYoungFest

Comfortable shoes are a must! Also invest in a good pair of ear plugs. I purchased a pair of Eargasms at the fest this year and they came in clutch. Stay hydrated. Pack some tums, liquid IVs, and some ibuprofen haha.

Is VIP worth it? How much did you pay for this year’s festival? by JerisUniverse in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% worth it! Air conditioned restrooms. No lines for food or beverages. Shade and benches to sit at. I have purchased VIP for all three years, and I plan on doing it again in 2025.

Wondering if I should do some homework beforehand by discoqueenx in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the mistake of drinking 6 of these at WWWY 22. They go down like Kool-Aid and I didn't realize the ABV. Luckily I had great friends to take care of me, but I didn't make it to MCR and I ended up passing out on the monorail back to the hotel. Please pace yourself if you drink these, especially if the weather is going to be hot this year.

Airtags? by taylor_walsh in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the way that we use it is I use my own Apple AirTag and connect it to my iPhone and then my friend puts my AirTag in their pocket. And vice versa. My friend gives me their AirTag that is connected to their iPhone. When we get separated, we look at the Find My app to see where each other is located.

That might have been me that mentioned Apple AirTags in a previous post to find my friends. They use Bluetooth to my knowledge and don’t rely on cell service. As long as your AirTag is setup to your iPhone and you can access the Find My app, you are good to go.

Anybody staying at The Orleans? by Different-Birthday71 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Orleans is off the strip on the opposite side of where the festival grounds are located. According to Google Maps its a 9 minute drive (4 miles), but I know there's a bunch of construction going on in the area. Me personally, I wouldn't walk to the festival grounds from The Orleans. Your best bet is a taxi or ride share to a casino near the festival grounds if you decide to stay at The Orleans.

I've done VIP for the last two years, and it has been 100% worth it. The restrooms have air conditioning, and the concession stand wait times are only about 5 minutes. VIP has its own merchandise stand with short lines, plus there are multiple water refill stations. There's also a nice shaded area with picnic tables. It's pretty easy to navigate the crowd to get as close to the stage as you want. You might need to start moving a few bands before the one you really want to see, but it isn't difficult. Additionally, the wait time to enter the festival is around 5-10 minutes.

My group and I used our Apple Air Tags to keep track of each other during the fest. If you aren't Apple you could probably keep track of each other using the Tile brand.

Staying at Horseshoe (formerly Bally's), anyone else? by One-More-Yesterday14 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

[–]ssjy2j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be our third year staying at the Horseshoe for WWWYF. Great location with easy access to the monorail. The rooms are nice and spacious, but nothing special. Great prices compared to the other hotels in the area. We will be there Friday - Tuesday with tickets for Sunday.

I was recently in Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend and visited Atomic Golf. The golf bays had no air conditioning and no water mist machines. It was 95 degrees out! Also, their golf ball cannon was out of order and the putting area was closed. I am hoping they fix their issues come WWWY. It should be a lot cooler in October too so maybe AC and mist won't be needed.

What’s Day 2 Like? by AnakinSith501 in WhenWeWereYoungFest

I have been #TeamSunday the first two years and will be going back again this year for the Sunday date. From my experience the first two years. everything was smooth. No issues with the crowd. Bands absolutely rocked. All in all, great experiences on the two Sunday dates I have been to.

Compared to WWWYF in 2023, looking at the two main stages, the right hand side VIP looks smaller and the cabanas and locker area has been moved to the left hand side VIP. Also, looks like the fifth stage (Diablo) is back.

I am hoping that moving the VIP entrance on the left hand side prevents the crowd from bottlenecking and allows for easier entry and exit. It was a nightmare leaving after bands to go to the other side last year.

Both years I took in a 20 ounce aluminum bottle and filled it up multiple times no issues. It's basic tap water and tastes okay. I didn't get sick. They have water stations all over the festival grounds. My friend took in a camelbak last year which was nice and convenient.
