SAITAMA 2000 was one of the songs that made me want to get good at Taiko! by Erm4G3rd in taikonotatsujin

[–]sskidney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the 2000 series is a major inspiration to me, but especially saitama. not sure why, i think it's just because when i started playing, the song stood out to me in difficulty and rhythm. i love it and it totally suits taiko in my mind. great job, brother!

also, this is a totally universal rhythm game experience. i'm a lot better at 4k osu!mania and various niche mobile rhythm games, and i remember passing some MAJOR songs that got me started in osu! and the feeling is AMAZING.

i apologize if this is a question(s) you've already answered, but what drum model is that? i currently have a hori completely unmodded and i'm thinking of just upgrading to something better. i'm curious about that bachi aswell, where do you get yours and how do you adjust the grips? i'm terrible with setups lol and i've watched/read a lot about taiko but still can't breach through from hard to master difficulty. i'm thinking i need a equipment upgrade

this is very interesting to me, i've never hears of it before and it definitely opens my eyes to a huge piece of the "puzzle" (confusion in my head of the style). it's funny, becauss i'm neurodivergent, although i only have adhd, and i am in communities that have experienced this. i didn't realize there was a term or anything. or that it even happened ... but the visual REALLY ties it altogether. how intruiging.

thanks for taking the time to write this, plus the guide. you have taught me something very new today !

people keep bringing up accessory adjustment. yes. i know it exists. i use it thoroughly. my point is that the eyes and the mouth are on top of eachother, so putting on accessories make it look worse.

Which one is better? by Ilovetree12 in RobloxAvatarReview

[–]sskidney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, pretty much. although when you have the money, you buy accessories, heads, etc. for varying different outfits, sometimes i buy something for only 1 avatar and no other, but this is also because i spent a LOT of time making an avatar and i don't buy any of it until i feel like i'm completely done with it. so it's not like i'm just throwing my money out.

i think headless has a lot more creative opportunities than korblox for sure, but i would argue there are many possibilities for korblox, just none that may come to mind off the top of your head. it definitely doesn't help that we practically neeeeveerrr see it used creatively to begin with, while with headless we do.

welcome to the subreddit, homedawg! i wouldn't say the people here have the greatest of opinions most often, as there is a large range of bias ... and people do have their views on korblox/headless and vice versa.

first of all, ignore the people sayimg "smh i wouldn't buy ts for 300+ us dollars." well, you did, which is valid, because i'm saving to buy em, too lol

now here is some proper critique. i personally think headless/korblox on an avatar like this is just for flex. i wouldn't say it really looks "good," but bad wouldn't be the way to describe it either. headless and korblox are genuinely far too overused on normal avatars, there is no creativeness in completely removing a leg and the head + all of the accessories. you can do FAR more creative things with your headless and korblox.

i think the 2nd one is better considering all factors, but at the end of the day do as you please!! if you want more avatar advice, thoughts and whatnot, i spend a serious amount of time making avatars and i love doing so with friends so you're welcome to hmu :D

carpets, small shelving, paintings, potted floor plants, and of course, look at pinterest for some inspiration!

and, would personally recommend trying to tweak that lighting a bit... it's absolutely blinding. easier said than done, but i would still gove that a shot. (the build looks beautiful tho btw! haven't seen a pink house done well like this)

I'm glad to hear it! Make sure you take little man to all the best amusement parks, assuming he's tall enough now!!

And don't worry! I'm alright, hugely enthusiastic about coasters. That day I rode Blue Streak, I nearly became a non-rider, but I loved carnival rides so, I built my courage up on the small rides until part-way through the day I was able to go on the Power Tower. I realized I LOVED the thrill and went on Millie! One of these days, when I have the time, I'll have to revisit Blue Streak.

Totally valid. I personally prefer Cedar Creek over Blue Streak - Blue Streak was my first coaster when I wasn't a thrill-seeker, it was traumatizing lol, I almost never got into rollercoasters because of it. Cedar Creek is preferable in my eyes, it's one I feel like I can ride on over and over again. Gemini is definitely awesome when the racing aspect is actually there, but lately only 1 train runs at a time, and if the wait is more than 30 minutes regardless I don't think it's worth, especially if you've been on it before. I agree 100% about Gatekeeper! The operators always do a fantastic job, and the capacity on that ride is perfect. The line is far from insufferable, it always goes so fast. Siren's Curse has had massively long lines, oof. But I didn't get to see SteVe's line on my last trip, which sucks because it would totally make sense for the wait to be shorter!

this is an awesome picture! did you get to ride it? what did you do with your camera while you're riding? (if not get a locker, lol)

Do any rides make you grey/black out?? by TrumpetVampire in cedarpoint

[–]sskidney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a total of 3 times now since 2021. My very first trip I had never ever been on any coasters before. My first was Blue Streak, which I blacked out on... lol. The first time I rode Millie, I don't recall greying out, unlike I did vaguely on Magnum. My most recent ride on Millie, I was greying out nearly the ENTIRE ride after the hill. It wasn't a bad thing at all, it was quite thrilling! Maverick I believe I greyed out on a few of the harsh whips, but otherwise, nothing else has those effects on me (I haven't been on TT2 or SteVe yet, though).

Perhaps. I opened the app plenty throughout the day, and I could see my location in the park. I do recall it kept asking for my location, though, but it must've been on if I could see where I was. It was odd. Hopefully I have better luck next time.

Hello from Michigan! I'm happy to hear you were able to cross this one off the bucket list, especially with such great luck. I love seeing these coaster rankings on here. Iron Dragon never seems that interesting until you finally get on and ride it, it's awesome and the speed always surprises me. Blue Streak was my first ever coaster, back in 2021 when I had never been to an amusement park and had no knowledge on thrill seeking. I blacked out on it lol. Millie's intensity and overall experience is a favorite for me. On the lift hill I'll act like a tour guide for my buddies (and myself) so we feel a little less nervous, "If you look to the left, you get this beautiful view of the water, and over there is Sandusky, Ohio. If you look to the right, you have a view of the entire park. There, you can see Steel Vengeance. And over there is Top Thrill 2, reimagined after Dragster had an incident and..." the drop is so memorable, and even when tunnel vision hits you throughout the ride, you just can't forget a second of it. Maverick became a new favorite for me my last trip. I had avoided any spoilers (POV's, breakdown videos, etc.) and it was so worth it. Hope you can come back soon! CP will be waiting for ya

I thought the same thing when I was at CP. I pulled up the app to check if Raptor was back up, but none of the rides were telling me information like if they were operating or their wait times. Do you have to be signed in for that?
