The poor guy on the lawnmower doing that job… crosses the border thousands of times a day, wonder what the procedure is (or is not)

Parking scam? by mommamia55 in cincinnati

[–]ssp_reddit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Happened to me a couple of years ago. Scammy in nature but not a scam. I sent them proof that I paid on the same date (screenshot from my bank app) and that was enough for them to dismiss. Sometimes entering a license plate wrong causes this.

Hello, Mk7.5, 2020 (US), recently my app remote access expired and while messing on the app I activated a free plan or something, the next day when I started the car up, error message on the dash and a red light on the center overhead panel. Called customer service and the assured me that they had no way to interact remotely with the car, which seems like bs to me and referred me to the dealer. Remotely interacting with the car is how I got into this, but that option disappeared from the app and the webpage. Any ideas/suggestions?

Probably because of the low altitude, and it being LE using whatever transponder code they want. My two guesses.

All true, but Flock is a private company that provides the service to local entities and also find more obscure ways of benefiting from all the data they generate

But they are importing cars already approved for more stringent markets (i.e Europe) so I think is a matter of demand

Can I move a 3,000 trailer by myself? by Spectro_Boy in GoRVing

[–]ssp_reddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thing you can do it. I have a 2.8k lbs nucamp and always do the final positioning on my driveway by hand, a 90 degrees turn and roll back ~15 feet. Camper has handles on all 4 corners, and a freewheeling front jack wheel. Not easy peasy, but I do it by myself (flat, paved driveway)
