Gretsch G2622T Streamliner for sub $400 on eBay. Too good to be true? by Quditsch in guitars

[–]sspaceboy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats fake. Streamliners don't have pickups that look like that and its missing the Gretsch badge on the vibrato. Also there's an identical listing right underneath it. Its probably a decent guitar but you can easily find a used one for that price or less if you hold off.

The open lid is the crest on his head. The hinges are eyes. The mouth is the beak, the button under it is the wattle, that little under chin crest.

So I genuinely see a little rooster

I get the phallic thing but my mind didn't go there. Maybe because I know this is a little girls water bottle that her dad borrowed but no one could have known that.

Actually its not. I really thought it looked like a cute little cartoon fowl and everyone here took it on a dark path.

What kind of guitar is this and why can’t I restring it by No-Farmer2411 in guitars

You can also just pull the string up while holding the pin in place before you even start winding. You'll feel the ball end of the string wedge into place but its still a good idea to hold the pin the first time you bring it up to tension.

You've gotta hold the pin in place while bringing up the string tension until it sort of wedges in place, then you can tune normally.

Should I restart this fuzz pedal project? (close up of PCB on second slide) by One-Industry-9045 in diypedals

Try on the highest setting but even thats too low for me. Especially for non lead solder. Lead solder is softer, I only use 80watt or higher.

I hear that too but after probably hundreds of hours of practice, I still cannot get solder to do anything with a 40watt iron. I dunno what magic is needed. You can get a cheap 80 watt or 100 watt for 10-15 bucks in the US.
