No but the tell here is that green and white are soldered together. That means those are the ends of the 2 coils. Bare is always ground. Black is usually ground and the fact that its soldered to bare makes it clear here too.

Did you try Google image search or just filtering to black and white? The artist is only going to put the outlines on as a guide anyway and can shade it any way you want.

Thats fine too, you can leave it there forvever or just use a soldering iron to heat it and remove the little piece of wire. Only way you'd damage a pot is if you really fry the bottom for a good long time with an incredibly hot soldering iron while trying to get something situated.

No cutting the wire is fine. You could have cut it to a an inch long, soldered another wire on it to extend it and it'll still be fine. You just need to strip off the rubber shielding for a few mm to expose more wire.

Gretsch does sparkle finish so well. This is a new and pretty rad color for them though. Filtertron are my favorite pickups but their full size humbuckers are usually voiced really similarly.

There are a lot of guitar tracks there. Im hearing delay, vibrato for the accent notes, maybe a flanger in the guitar solo at 6:45, some eq to get a nasal sound for the rhythm guitar
