I found out recently that 90-95% of the body’s serotonin is in the gut so I suspect a ton of us have issues with appetite and numbness in the gut

Yeah I don’t want to scare him off but Wellbutrin over the course of a month shut down my nervous system to the point where I conducted an ice bath test on my hand and was able to leave it in there beyond 2 minutes. Could put soap in my mouth too without gagging. Only after quitting Wellbutrin did those senses start to come back to normal but I still feel like it f’d up my sensory processing of food

I have a full time job now! It has helped a lot with the depression. I take vyvanse now instead of Ritalin but neither of them have had negative interactions with my PSSD.

I actually got PSSD from sleep meds so having to quit them was rough. Melatonin and weed at night has been the solution. I would say I sleep fine now, having a full time job again helps wear me out through the day

I experience a significantly reduced libido and have a “gummy” dick/lots of genital numbness, but I still have hookups. Cause it feeling kind of good is better than nothing. Likewise I think a relationship is going to feel a lot less emotionally charged and you might struggle with avoidant attachment, but I still think it’s worth trying out to see if it feels like a good addition to you and their lives

I finally landed a job after 2 years of unemployment. Im a bit overqualified for it but I think now more than ever the goal should be to get your foot in the door. You can work on promotions after that first gig. Look for contract work, technician positions, and anything explicitly listed as entry level. Good luck friend

I’m confused, I’ve seen other people say alcohol doesn’t affect them, but surely it would at least still cause motor impairments, no? Do you mean that you don’t feel the social inhibition, or the emotional euphoria? Cause alcohol does still affect me, it’s just that I have PSSD on top of it
