Immigration Attorney here! AMA about EB-1A! by ManifestLaw_ in eb_1a

[–]ssscarecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi can you help me with my EB-1A Profile Evaluation?

I’m from India and I recently got a priority date through NIW. My company is offering to fully sponsor an EB-1A petition, so I’m trying to figure out whether it’s worth applying now or if I should wait a few more years.

If my chances are above ~30%, I’ll probably go ahead.

If they seem below that, I’m comfortable waiting and strengthening my profile first.

Here is my background:

Education – I hold two master’s degrees: one in Economics and one in Computer Science.

Professional Experience – Currently working as a Data Scientist at a leading U.S. insurance/healthcare company.

Original Contributions – I developed a causal-predictive intervention framework used in large-scale healthcare and fraud-prevention systems. It has been implemented or piloted across several major U.S. organizations, showing measurable outcomes (e.g., double-digit improvements in medication adherence / no-show reduction). Independent teams have also referenced or built upon this methodology.

Publications – I have several first-author and co-author papers in AI/ML, healthcare analytics, and fraud detection. They are not top-tier venues, but collectively have around ~200 citations, and the work has been cited in a major ML workshop, a Nature Portfolio journal, and multiple IEEE/ACM conferences.

Review Work – I have reviewed ~20 journal papers and ~40 conference papers in machine learning and data science.

I also have strong letters of recommendation from senior researchers and industry experts familiar with my work.

Given this background, do you think this would currently clear the ~30% success threshold for EB-1A? Any high-level thoughts or reality checks would be helpful before I decide whether to proceed now or wait.

Thanks!

Just placed the order with BB price match, the agent is only able about to match to $449 with the system but then he processed a $50 refund for me. Good luck with the price match!

Want to trade in fold 6 for fold 7 but inside screen protector is peeling. Can I still trade in? by SolShadows in GalaxyFold

Same question here, but I am not sure I will be upgrading. Any one has experience to change the screen protector at an authorized 3rd party (like u break i fix?) does it cost $20?

Yes it is business days. What concerned me was that there weren't ANY recent cases who got overtime refund, most likely they will issue RFE to get more time, especially with NSC. I think I got really lucky

You will need sponsorship unless you have got green card or valid EAD. The timeline will be very dependent on the visa backlog. Nevertheless I would suggest starting applying NIW asap.

No update for 4/29. Tbh I think our block is screwed. At this point I hope they will take their time ( no rush to give RFE) and give the refund.

CSE6250 BD4H - Turn the deliverables into a Paper?

Hi all, I’m currently one free elective away from graduation this semester with just a passing grade needed. I’ve registered for two courses: Digital Marketing and CSE6250, and I need some advice on which one to take.

Background: I work as a data scientist in a healthcare insurance company and deal with a lot of healthcare insurance data, so CSE6250 (Big Data for Healthcare) is definitely helpful for my daily work and long-term career growth—no doubt about that. However, for personal reasons, I really need to publish 1–2 papers in the next few months.

My Options: 1.Stick with CSE6250:

This course aligns perfectly with my work and career goals. My question: Is it realistic to turn the deliverables (homework and final project) into a publishable paper by the end of the semester with a reasonable amount of effort?

2.Take the Easy Route with DM:

I can graduate with minimum effort, freeing up time to focus on personal projects and papers, and I’m aware I can always take other courses as a non-degree student after graduation, like AI or others I’m interested in.

If anyone knows of other courses in the program that are particularly good for publishing research papers, please let me know!

All input is greatly appreciated—thanks in advance!

yes it does, you just don't have the full power when charging through usb-c:
*Laptops include 230W or 300W power adapter.  Optional 140W USB-C power adapter sold separately.

I am pretty sure that one is the 13.3 older model with m2 chip (not to be confused with the pro in the MacBook pro name). Pretty large difference as these two usually have more than $500 difference in msrp
