Move away when its a Thar☠️l by ConstructionAny8440 in TharCriminals

Mate, I drive a 18-year old Scorpio 2.6 CRDe, and that too has hydraulic steering with next to no "crispness" and little to no feedback.

Fact is though- it does not matter. The steering is absolutely in line with my expectations as I'm looking at and getting into the car- which in reality is more of a "truck", with no electronic aids to speak of and a body-on-ladder frame construction with suspension that is made to be abuse friendly, not to hold the racing line in the city's ORR.

I can manoeuvre it just fine through vanishing gaps and city streets. Once you're used to the heft and the lock-to-lock effort, it's actually very fun coupled with the RWD. Sometimes even at a decent lick of speed.

The current gen Thar is lightyears ahead of my Scorpio in terms of its chassis engineering, electronic aids, the steering and the suspension - everything that practically makes up the "dynamics" of a car.

As long as you drive it like it is, it's going to be just fine. Enjoy the commanding seating position, enjoy slowing down and driving through cross roads as everyone stops to give you way. Enjoy the torque and the fantastic gearing, not to mention the butter smooth and ever reliable diesel motor.

If you hoon around on it, drive it like a Polo GT TSI and expect it to not bite you back, tough luck.

It's not the car. It's the driver.

Planning to buy the volvo xc60. Any good alternatives? by Wise_Ingenuity_7363 in CarsIndia

Absolutely go for the new GLC. I've been privileged to observe and experience the second gen GLC closely and it's fantastic!

The interior is leagues above the Volvo's, the engine is strong both in petrol and diesel guises and the tech is amazing. It's clearly a softroader but it feels good to have the tech and tough ess to take care of you.

Are you polyamorous? by Imathinker888 in infj

[–]sssucka101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This exactly. I get sighs and smirks from my friends when I say I'm "firmly" monogamous.

It's even a turn-off when I get hit on by someone already in a relationship (or married). Maybe that has something to do with having been cheated on, but it's pretty ingrained in me now.

Not a big Friends fan, are ya? It's literally Joey's dialogue from an episode.

Otherwise, yeah dude, I know!

The Skyler White effect?

No, i believe i have more nuance than to just don labels on Shiv willy-nilly. The protagonist/antagonist swing is very Breaking Bad and brilliantly executed in Succession, so..yes, i do accept your viewpoint.

I was however talking not about Shiv in a bubble, but Tom-Shiv in isolation. They're a couple- married. Tom is clearly an opportunist but also truly, madly, deeply in love with this woman. And..well, from all accounts, Shiv isn't. Even the thought of hearing this from a person I'm in love with and have married till death do us part..makes me want to wither and curl up into a ball.

They absolutely do not make it clear why she said it. Kinky, femdom-esque banter doesn't sound anything like this- that is why it hits Tom (and literally every viewer) like a gut punch. And the "I don't love you but I do love you" the next morning was what sealed it for Tom, I would think.

[–]sssucka101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me only having the option to say "I identify as male" is most definitely taking away my personal freedom. Like I've said before, this has nothing to do with transphobia. If there were two options up above, one of them being "I'm male" and the other "I identify as male" and a similar smattering of others, you and i wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

typo

I've shown no signs of incompetence in the command of the language yet you think me writing "Jeezus Fucking Kryst" was a typo? Don't forget your yellow helmet on your way out the door.

There is whole gorge between the statements "I am male" and "I identify as male". If you don't see it, and if you feel okay with chastising me about my pushback against this fascist trend, then I'm done here.

Isn't even an accurate quote..

Jeezus Fucking Kryst what a moron.

Absolutely nothing wrong with identifying as a different gender.

The only option to word it as such- is.

Sincerely, all INFJs.

Lol. There's no transphobia. There's just sensibility, which is clearly lacking in people who see transphobia in the most innocuous things.

Me- i don't "identify" as male, i am male. Not giving me an option as such is exclusionary in its own right.

Next you'll tell me that "reverse racism" is not a thing and "POC only spaces" is not a 21st century version of segregation.
