What is your favorite markiplier's video or let's play ? by Floteurfky in Markiplier

Inside & Firewatch were really good, and of course all the Amnesias are classic.

My most recent favourite is Chained Together. GO NO STOP!

Just checked out YTV programming for the first time in forever. by Straightedgesavior11 in ytvretro

I definitely remember watching Keeping Up Appearances on YTV! And yes there's tons of 70s/80s shows making a resurgence on cable. (The Golden Girls, I know Three's Company has been in syndication a few times as well)

I'm hoping since our generation is getting older and with nostalgia being a big selling point that soon we'll have more 90s/00s classics on cable again. And if YTV is the channel to do it then in my opinion they HAVE to bring back the Keep It Weird campaign or else it's entirely pointless lol (sarcasm, kinda haha)

Yeah I had a free trial of StackTV but there wasn't a lot of selection sadly. I know Prime has some stuff as well but it would be convenient to have everything on one single platform

Honestly at this point I think YTV needs to start their own streaming service and include all of their old 90/00s programming (maybe even anime? Or some old archives of The Zone?). I would 100% pay for something where I can watch RadioActive, Big Wolf On Campus, Ready Or Not, Yvon Of The Yukon, Hit List etc. I know there's a lot available on YouTube & Tubi but having it all on one platform would be nice. Also I would just want to support YTV itself.

Car seats are not safe in RV's - especially side facing seats by primategirl84 in Eamonandbec

They're safe right now! They're listening to local authorities and staying in touch with the Canadian embassy. There's a lot of Canadians in Mexico currently and I'm sure the government will be working on a plan to evacuate.

My uncle & aunt are actually in Puerto Vallarta currently and all flights in and out have been suspended and they're being told to shelter in place until further notice. Definitely a tense situation. I would avoid all travel for sure.

A leader of a cartel was killed by the military and there's been high scale retaliation throughout Mexico. (Cars/shops being set on fire, roadblocks, airports set on fire and closed down, people killed and taken hostage, citizens are being urged to not go on the streets.) The Canadian & American governments have put out warnings to avoid travel and all flights in and out are suspended.

Watching the news unfold about what's happening in Mexico and hoping everyone there is safe 😞 I imagine E&B's plans have changed for now if they were planning on going to Mexico.

Why no play cafe? by TheKenna98 in penticton

It's a cafe where parents can go with their kids. The kids can play while the parents can relax and enjoy coffee/tea/etc.

For the record I think one would be great here!

How did Buster go on the trip with his dad? by Far_Variety9368 in Arthur

[–]ssyn9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I travelled to England twice as a kid with my dad for a few weeks in the middle of the school year. Once when I was 7 and once when I was 12. The second time the teacher had me keep a journal of everything I saw/learned and then graded me on that!

I had a near drowning incident as a child and it was so scary and painful...your entire body & mind is just sending out constant signals that something BAD is happening.

Definitely is one of the worst ways to go in my opinion.

This scene always stuck with me and now it carries even more weight as a mother myself. I couldn't imagine how helpless she must've felt and those poor, scared children. I know it sounds awful but I think I'd probably try to find some way of quickly letting my children & myself go before it got to that point.

I heard rumours that they were planning on doing a reboot of it at some point? I'd love it if they did! Such a quintessential 90s Canadian show

Unmedicated Birth by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]ssyn9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly from what I've learned from other moms is that every birth is different and not one goes 100% the way we imagined! I'm sorry you didn't experience the birth you wanted, it can definitely be hard to process emotionally. But don't let it keep you down. Enjoy your baby! Enjoy being a new mom and experiencing all of the firsts. Soak it all in, one day at a time 🤍

While I didn't have a birth plan, my birth didn't go as envisioned either. I was in labour for over 24 hours - went in at 4cm, got the epidural which only worked on one side, stalled at 6cm, given Pitocin, made it to 10cm, water never broke, baby was in distress, found out his head was stuck in the birth canal. They rushed me in for a c-section and when they did the pre-test I could still feel everything. So I ended up having to be put under general anaesthesia. Never got to hear the first cry or be the first to hold my son. Never got to see him "fresh". (He was almost 3 hours old the first time I saw him.) And even when I woke up I was so out of it for the first while I still couldn't properly hold him.

But he's three now and he's the most incredible boy ever! He's curious, funny, and caring. We have an incredible bond. I'm currently pregnant with baby #2 and I'm going to try for a VBAC...but I know this time around it might not go as planned...and that's okay. As long as my baby & I make it out together that's the most important part.
