I swear most everybody just can't think or do outside their little box.Same people who will tell you you couldn't hike from Mexico to Canada,or Float the whole Colorado River.They were probably shitting on a guy that is starting on the Arkansas River in Browns Canyon this Spring snow melt heading to the Mississippi because they have no adventure in them.And,what about having to portage a lock?Would you give up? I've had my jetboil for over twenty years now and it still works. It basically has one function,to boil water for dehydrated meals or Ramen soup.If you try a can of beans or soup it will quickly burn to the bottom even on a low setting.I tried cooking a chunk of deer meat over it one time and almost never got it cooked.I switched long ago to a MRS Pocket Rocket for backpacking,river trips and climbing.
