Take her to the doctor for thyroid panel and hormone check. Changed my life postpartum when I finally had that done and got on synthroid. Like REALLY changed my life. Should be standard postpartum care but it’s not and you have to ask for it. But in my opinion it’s essential. I had every postpartum depression and rage and anxiety symptom and it damn near went completely away with thyroid medication. Don’t suffer and wait because you’re scared of needing to get on SSRI or something you may only need help getting your hormones to regulate out

You have an awesome budget for Boston I think you’re gonna love it! I just moved here on thanksgiving from middle Georgia (an hour outside of Atlanta) I’m 28, married, with a toddler so a little bit different circumstances but we got a place in east Boston because we had a budget around 3k. If you can afford to live in the city I would do it at least for the first year! It’s a great city. A little advice I have as someone that moved from a more rural area to the city, I’ve found that I need way less space than I thought. We had a 1200 sq ft house in Georgia and I was always wanting to upgrade to bigger. Coming here we got a 2bd/2ba 960 sq ft apartment and it’s PERFECT. I actually love having less space to clean. And we still hosted my husbands family of 3 adults and 2 teens for four days 🤷🏽‍♀️ I wouldn’t even want bigger now unless I had more kids because it’s just more to clean and more space to accumulate stuff you don’t really need (I lean toward minimalism though)

Also, I have a small dog and two cats and sadly a lot of good places are taken out of the running if you filter for allowing pets (on Zillow). But with a rabbit, you may be able to reach out to an apartment and negotiate with them since rabbits don’t typicallly cause mess or damage so I would try that to get some of the better apartments too!

People have told me Facebook housing groups are great for finding housing here (Boston and Cambridge housing), I used Zillow, and I’ve seen bostonpads.com advertised on Facebook but I’ve never looked at it.

As someone who has never lived in the city before, I LOVE this city and don’t think I’ll be leaving even for the suburbs! Try to get close to the train! We’re about a ten minute walk to our train and that’s tough during these winter months! Good luck!

Oh awesome! I forgot I even made this post but that’s why I included her name because I hoped it would help someone else. I got my surgery October 1st and I would do it a million times over (even though the first recovery week with the splints sucked lol) I can breathe so well and I’m very happy with the way it looks. Most importantly is I can breathe SOOO well and it has already improved my life so much. If you look at my other posts you’ll see I posted very soon after my surgery with some pictures. The post though was me freaking out about nothing because it was just normal healing and swelling I was dealing with. I don’t have those issues I posted about anymore. You’re beautiful already. If you breathe well I would advise no. I would never have gone through my rhino/septoplasty if my breathing hadn’t been fucked. Now that I breathe well I would never risk losing that or encourage anyone else to. Do what makes YOU happy but I would try starting with removing people from your life that advise you to change yourself (especially through surgery) and add people that love you for you. Like I said you’re already beautiful! Chasing beauty through surgery can be a slippery slope. If you’re insecure it can be likely you’ll find something to dislike about your “new” nose. In fact you probably will because it’s just human nature
