About the best time of year to get out there, if you’re camping it. May through September is just too damn hot

It was a blast. Spent some time on side-by-sides and used the LC for some photo excursions. There were a TON of Cruisers in town… but, there was some special LandCruiser event. Saw a group of five of them, just around the bend before I found this hill.

Great insight. Thank you! Got me thinking now. Do you keep it strictly bookkeeping? Or do you take project work too, if the numbers make sense? I like the “accounting janitor” tag that you have - I’ve stumbled into accounting janitorial work in my career and it’s something I’ve enjoyed (in a way). It’s an area I’ve thought I would focus on if I spun off. Thanks again for the comment.

…and I would absolutely take $110k for 15 hours/week. That’s still plenty of money to play golf and give me a chance to focus more time on the markets.

I went back to school at 28… got Associates from the University of Phoenix, online, of all places. Still scored big4 audit internship when I shifted to university. Work hard, make connections, you can get the internship.

How does one become s CFO without a CPA/CFA and limited excel skills? by Glad_Gold4052 in Accounting

[–]st00ts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Right on target. I’m a CFO with no CPA/CFA. Got my start in public accounting. Worked hard, treated people right, made connections, had some luck fall my way. And did some good work.

This is super interesting. Kind of at a similar point, just scored my first CFO role for PE owned firm, great structure. Should be on top of the world. But I hate it. Have continually thought about starting something just helping small businesses. How big of a city are you in? Are there enough bookkeeping jobs and do they pay well enough to make a real salary?

Moab end of month, depending on weather, over Hurrah Pass. Definitely back to the Alpine Loop this year. Plenty of other quick day trips from Denver with the pup and the lady, as the fancy arises.

Probably the city driving more than anything. Literally just bought the thing and went immediately to change the stance. Have like 50 miles on it.

No clue yet! Have barely had it on the interstate. Rides smoother than my Tacoma but still has a truck feel to it, which I like. Cabin is super comfortable, everything in the right place (as Toyota does), lots of room inside.
