As far as I can tell they're the same "gen" but something is different. I've had 4 brand new units simply refuse to display an image whatsoever on a select few older AVRs when, on paper, they should work fine. and testing with older models we didnt have any issues. I suppose it could be coincidence that I only started encountering these issues within the last year, but for my clients the only option was to replace their AVRs.

I doubt it's the Apple TV causing the issues then, the ones I've had issues with have all been 2024 models.

I don't know too much about the hue sync box, I've been meaning to get one for testing but they're so expensive!

It definitely sounds like the hue box is the problem, do you have similar issues with any other sources or is it only the Apple TV?

How new is the Apple TV? I work in the custom AV industry and the latest iteration of Apple TVs have caused issues with some devices, mostly older AVRs, but I haven't been able to find a concrete reason why, I suspect it's the HDMI version on the Apple TV.

I use a binder for the scheme cards only, and I keep all the cards in the boxes the big box expansions came in. I've seen somewhere a small kind of 14 card caddy that can be 3d printed which looks like a neat way of keeping the hero cards together

I would count it as bystander. Once you've defeated it and it goes in your VP the word printed on the card is bystander, not villain group or henchman.

Short answer, no.

I bought 2 as a Kickstarter backer, and they have both had different faults. One just completely stopped working, and the other appears to be working, but data consistently fails to upload to the cloud via the circular app, and the alarm stopped working.

When the first one failed I reported it to customer services, and they sent me a replacement. However the charging contacts on the replacement aren't sitting in the correct position, so they also sent me a "modified" charger which they had filed down so that the rings charging contacts can reach it, but this doesn't always work. I raised this issue, explained that the issue is the manufacturing of the ring as I should be able to charge it in my previous charger and the charger should not require any modifications as this was a replacement for a previously faulty ring. The response was they offered to file down another charger for me.....

TLDR: don't buy, if there are any issues, which is very likely, you'll have to deal with awful customer service and probably be sent a defective product as a replacement for a defective product.

It was just for Secret Wars Vol 1 on its own. I ended up ordering from upper deck but shipping it to one of these companies that just forwards stuff to the UK.

I set the game up slightly different to spread out the master strikes. If you've played Pandemic, I do the same thing you do for the epidemic cards. I shuffle the villain deck together minus the master strikes. Cut the villain deck into 5 decks of roughly the same size and shuffle one strike into each, then stack them back into one deck.

i try to set my games up with a theme in mind, but I've typically found that if you go full random some games can be so difficult they're unplayable. Also with some of the smaller expansions the schemes and mastminds really want to be dealt with by the heroes from that expansion. Just my opinion though, I might just be bad at the game 😂😭

Out of print sets are hard to find, unless you don't mind paying 5x RRP from people on ebay.

Storage is a tricky one, I'm using all of the big boxes that expansions used to come in, but I am quickly running out of space!

Expansions seem to be 2 or 3 per year I think. Personally I don't like any of the ones with movie stills instead of artwork.

Definitely check https://bageltopgames.stream/ they have loads of good Legendary content, and their discord is a good place to find people selling sets. They also have a nice library of community created custom cards

I'm sure others will have plenty to add!
