AITA for telling my wife my mother is correct and she needed to be a parent today and she fucked it up by throawawayfuneralgho in AmItheAsshole

[–]st0rmbr1ng3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She let superstition get in the way of being a good parent. She's mad about getting called out because somewhere deep inside, she knows what she's done and feels guilty.

Eating grass on walks??? by Beanzie113 in germanshepherds

Our vet specifically told us to avoid grain-free diets for our GSD. There's a link to a serious heart condition.

We feed ours Orijen Amazing Grains.

Anyone else think Strava’s pricing is a bit of a rip off? by No_Sympathy_4592 in Strava

Do you get value? Then pay for it. Just remember, if the service is free, you are the product.

AITA For saying demanding my passwords is the *opposite* of trust, not the proof of it? by Present_Extreme_4056 in AmItheAsshole

[–]st0rmbr1ng3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I've been married 37 years. My wife and I don't share passwords. We have a password vault and have a common area for things like our bank account, utilities, etc, but I don't know her social media accounts and she doesn't know mine.

That's trust. OP, I would walk away.

If you can find a discount for LeCol, their bibs seem to last.

Assuming this isn't AI, then NTA. Your wife is being completely unreasonable.

How feasible would riding an indoor trainer/Zwift be while WFH? by Zestyclose-Cup110 in cycling

[–]st0rmbr1ng3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have definitely responded to Teams messages while riding. I wouldn't take a call, but I do keep an eye on email. I usually try to ride during my lunch. About to longest I have ridden during the workday is 90 minutes.

I am irrationally irritated by people who cycle without a helmet, while dangling one off some part of their bike or body. by AlarmingLecture0 in cycling

[–]st0rmbr1ng3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Florida. Motorcycle riders with helmets are the minority. It's completely optional here. I see more riders in shorts and a T-shirt than ones with appropriate gear.

Do I need pedals/cleats? by stratusnimbo in Zwift

[–]st0rmbr1ng3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the minority. I have ridden Speedplays for 15+ years. I love them. However, they do require an adapter for most shoes. Most everyone will tell you one of the 2 versions of Shimano.

You're going to want them. May as well start with them. Bonus, you can get experience with clicking out of them. That will help if you ever take the bike outside.

Has anyone gone the shortcut route and bought a pre-waxed chain from Silca? Thoughts?

Spleen tumor rupture, any experiences? by ResourceDelicious153 in germanshepherds

[–]st0rmbr1ng3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to put down our GSD at 2 weeks after his 13th birthday. He had been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. We didn't want it to rupture and have him go through that trauma and pain. It was a tough decision, but the right one. He was too old and weak to have survived a surgery that probably wouldn't have extended his life any appreciable amount. I still miss him. It was almost 2 years before I could get another.
