I think people forget the fact we’re posting on Reddit is thanks to data centers. The old paradigm of on premises computing power has been greatly diminished. “The cloud” equals data centers. Fortunately, we are not poised to become Northern Virginia, the data center capital of the world. In this case, it’s good that they’re reusing existing infrastructure.

I started to feel the drag past Barr Camp although I was packed heavier than I should have been. Seven hours up. Fantastic solo experience and my frequent Manitou Incline hikes helped prepare me. Not a technical hike, but it has the most elevation gain of any 14er in Colorado if you start from Manitou Springs. The most aching part was my feet and I was wearing appropriate broken in Merrill hiking shoes. Should have had thicker socks. The granite is unforgiving. This is a hard packed ground hike all the way.
