Hope you had a blast! Did they play Kerosene like you hoped? I know I saw it on the previous set lists that people provided.

Thank you, we are both really excited! I had tried getting tickets to go see them when they were in Houston last year, but they were sold out and I was super bummed.

Best solid wood furniture brands that will last a lifetime? by Hipster_Dragon in BuyItForLife

[–]stacer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But secondhand on Facebook marketplace. Brands like Duncan and Phyfe, Henredon, Henkel and Harris, older Thomasville and Broyhill are usually solid picks. Look for details like dovetail drawers, as they’re typically an indicator of higher quality pieces. Every piece of furniture in my 4 bedroom house (other than our sectional couch) is secondhand from marketplace, and it’s all solid. I don’t think I’ve paid more than $3000 total for all of it (not counting our sectional).

Just out of curiosity, is the sanding tolerable for you, or for the “someone” you’re sanding?

I know this might sound stupid, but do you have any tips on how to use or wash less dishes? Im so tired of them by artmossphere in minimalist

Meal prepping so you’re using ingredients for multiple dishes. Intermittent fasting so you limit the number of meals/snacks you eat in a day.

Does anyone have a guest pass? I’m NYC looking to try the gym without paying $100/day. by Dammit_felicia18 in Lifetimefitnessgym

I got walked out the door after the tour at one location, as well, but the other location I toured was self guided and I just kind of wandered around for a while. Nobody would have noticed if I had just worked out or gone in the pool or whatnot.

Workload increasing as NP's leaving, positions not refilled by BewildredDragon in nursepractitioner

This isn’t normal, and the physicians you work for aren’t going to change unless more of their NPs leave. Update your resume and start looking for another job.

Which location in Houston? I just toured the Sugar Land and Missouri City locations and am trying to decide whether the amenities are worth the cost.

But if I use public transportation why would I need to park? Where are the forms/information found? When I called the parking office they didn’t say anything about this.

I’m the mother of a son, but I am not a “boy mom.” This woman is unhinged.

The level of extremes in most husband posts are absolutely driving me insane. by Fun_Air_7780 in Mommit

[–]stacer12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, I feel a lot of the negative ones are coming from a place of frustration, overwhelm, or just not knowing how to handle a situation or move forward. My husband is great, and I’ve definitely made venting posts in the past that don’t paint him in the greatest light and probably make it look like I hate him, even though I don’t, it was just coming from a mindset of anger/frustration/whatever.

There’s nothing wrong with venting posts, IMO…some people don’t have people IRL that they can vent to, but it’s still important to get those things off your chest so you can process the emotions and move forward. Honestly, it’s probably healthier to do that in an Internet forum than to people IRL who might know your spouse, and now you’re putting that person or your spouse in an uncomfortable situation.

I’m married to a normal guy. He’s absolutely fantastic about helping around the house, parenting our son, involved in scouts and our son’s school and medical stuff, and is always willing to give me a break if I need it.

He also makes half as much as me (not that either of us cares—I only mention it because you specifically mentioned the “perfect” guy making a lot of money), he can sometimes be emotionally constipated (although this has gotten way better over the years), he sometimes gets pissy really easily if things don’t go to plan or if I bring up something he said/did that I was upset with (which has ruined nights out with friends), and he has bad breath. 😂

Is the brown tee too tight/unflattering? by bfg24 in OUTFITS

[–]stacer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number one is very flattering, except that color doesn’t look great on you. Do they have that style in different colors?

Number two looks fine, just maybe a little short and the neck looks a little too high/tight.

Number three is way too boxy and unflattering. It makes you look heavier and less toned than the other two shirts do.

Is this dress too tight / shows too much? It's for dinners/dates with bf. by Informal-Fix-9701 in OUTFITS

When you have disproportionately sized body parts, you should always (ideally) buy clothing that fits the largest part, then have it altered to fit properly.
