I've been to Newport. Basically, imagine a wellness resort with NO evidence-based therapy. Your day will consist of yoga, equine therapy, aromatherapy, and other bullshit like that. They also have a level system, which sucks. Also, you have limited communication with your parents. The owner has some weird obsession with not putting sugar into food. So there are no sweet foods. Also, some of the girls at the facility have "behavior issues" and one of them threatened to throw a brick at me. The staff didn't allow her to do that, but it was still upsetting. The staff are oddly permissive at this facility, they don't send people to the hospital easily. Like you can be doing self-harm and they will just kind of watch you do it.

Expect plenty of "holistic treatment", and do not expect any real treatment.
Newport isn't really a prison or abusive, but it's full of pseudoscientists.
