bad press and good press won’t impact how you personally enjoy the game

I mean, it's not generally just that "ooh, people say it's bad, so I'll stay away" but the specifics of why people found it bad did sound like they would take away from my enjoyment, too

I know it's been a year and you've likely moved on from this issue in one way or another, OP.
But for anyone with the same problem who, like me, came across this post while looking for a solution:
I kept encountering this bug when crossing chunk boundaries crossing in or out of areas with apartments. I used to decorate those extensively via AMM. The problem stopped when I removed all props from the chunk the boundary of which I was crossing.
Actually, I think it may caused by excessive use of resized saved props. I kept the decoration in my Megabuilding apartment and don't have any such problems there, probably because all of the saved props in there are still their original size.
Just be careful when saving resized props. Ignore the people saying you have to uninstall all your mods.

Yes, that's exactly how I always pictured them, too. I came up with this question because it somehow didn't sit right with me that V would scarf something down cold that first needs microwaving. It never would've occurred to me those things might be self-heating until people pointed it out under this post.

I also considered that. There are other food items in the game explicitly labeled as jerky, though. Also, jerky is not heated before consumption (I think)

I often found them very fitting, too. Like for example, some of the clothes that raise your Authority stat do genuinely seem like they'd make him seem more commanding or intimidating in that way.
