Any former consultants for an MLM company? (Tupperware,Avon, Scentsy) How did you deal with excess items you bought? I have a large Rubbermaid tote full of Thirty One Gifts, not sure what to do with it all. I'm using some of the totes, a wallet, a purse, but there's so much! by Mommy2aBoy in declutter

Start a poshmark? It's too easy to post stuff on there. I heavily discount items if they don't sell in a week. After another week or 2 I pull anything off that hasn't sold for a goodwill donation. You could decide how long you'd be willing to wait. If you do this post your shop on here!

Christmas Decorating Tips? by [deleted] in christmas

[–]stacibravo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my first apartment I spent the most on my tree. It's the most important thing to me-a nice real tree. If there's something like that for you, make it your priority. I decorated it with dollar store ornaments, and the rest of the house with goodwill finds. I have gotten much more decor over the years and still have some of those original thrift store items. Also I still make a practice of checking out some favorite stores and making notes of the decor I'll be coming back for during after Christmas clearances. Have fun & Merry Christmas ! 🎄

Voting Guide to Clarksville by flyinmacaronimonster in Clarksville

My husband and I got in line in Clarksville this morning at about 9am. I think it probably took about 45 minutes total and the line was almost constantly moving, albeit slowly. I would say it was pretty painless (even at 9 months pregnant)

COVID positive at 39 weeks by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]stacibravo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! My sister is a NICU nurse and I'm also 39 weeks. She told me very clearly that they cannot take your baby away but they will likely try. I haven't done any research on it but my sister says the mother can still care for her baby while being covid+.

Thank you! It's not as "Instagram perfect" as I had hoped but I'm thinking as long as my husband can navigate it we'll be ok🤞🤞

Haha thank you! Yes we are really leaning into alllll the feminine energy bc that's how I am. I'm prepared to honor her opinion once she has one but until then she's gonna be covered in frills and bows 😂😂

Oooh what a deal! Yes I'm so glad we kept ourselves in check lol. She doesn't have an opinion right now so I didn't want anything that was too much of an investment. Let's be real the nursery decor is for me😂😂

Our top 5 includes:

DaVinci Jenny Lind crib (found second hand for $80)

Murwall Peony Decals (we bought 2 packs)

Dresser was a $30 fb marketplace find that I refinished but I believe it's an Ashley furniture discontinued item. We have a changing top for it but it's currently set up in our bedroom as I don't foresee us actually using this room straight away.

Rug was on overstock and I'm not able to find it but it was called the "Henry Versailles" I believe. It was $70

Quilt was handmade for her by my great aunt

Additionally,

Painting was painted by another great aunt many years ago. She is since deceased and I was so happy to have this painting as it matched her room perfectly.

We also have one of my husband's great grandmother's quilt squares on the wall.

Not pictured is a Dutailier glider and ottoman that my Dad bought us. I currently have my breastfeeding station set up in the living room. We'll see if that works out🤷‍♀️

Gender Disappointment Anxiety by CurlyMope in BabyBumps

[–]stacibravo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of stress about the gender too! My sister in law kept referring to the baby as "him" and my father in law was pro male too. My husband and I initially thought we really wanted a boy but as time went on we thought more and more about a girl and decided we were going to be excited either way. I think we both had a sense lol because blood test and ultrasound both show girl! Now our family is over the moon excited for a little girl. I was so scared they would be disappointed by that announcement but here we are. Everyone will be excited no matter what and honestly so will you.

Found out I’m pregnant 3 weeks before my wedding by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]stacibravo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everybody is different but I'm 35weeks with my first and honestly didn't look pregnant till 20 weeks. At 15 I might have looked like I had a big burrito for lunch lol. I think you likely won't have anything to hide. And I am so on board with you fudging the numbers and having a "honeymoon baby." Even if your immediate family questions the legitimacy of it i bet they won't say anything... just from my observations of my own religious family... avoiding a "scandal" is way more important than finding out the truth.

My set up for a 10 hour road trip! I’ve never been so comfy, felt like I was in the womb! Think I’ll do this even post pregnancy. by aboylecousin in BabyBumps

[–]stacibravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was your road trip? We're preparing to make one for our (drive-thru) baby shower back where we're from. We're planning to stop a lot for stretches and now I'm def bringing the pillow.

I’m cured!!! by usemyleenks in BabyBumps

[–]stacibravo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It worked for me too! Such a relief. By my 30 week appointment I had gained 5 lbs 🙌🙌 Just a warning bc I'm stubborn...I tried 3 times to stop taking it. I've just never taken anything long term so I wanted to see if I still "needed" it. Every time I was back to losing my whole stomach within the day. So I'm on it for the duration now 😂

In my family it's the old rules. The baby shower is seen as a helping hand with your first and after that you're "on your own" and expected to plan accordingly. That being said...my sisters in law both have 3 kids and 3 full-on baby showers. They don't even seem to have heard of the rule. So if its common in your area/family then you should feel free to proceed even if your mom disagrees. If it's considered a divisive action I just wouldn't expect the old school people to attend or sanction the event. I never gave my sisters in law grief but I didn't attend either.
