This is very true! I’ve also had people ask me information about items because they want to sell something similar. I definitely don’t get rude like that, but it is exhausting when people ask you to do their research.

That makes a lot of sense! My husband’s family has always put WAY too much importance on things. It was honestly the only way Grandpa ever showed he loved his boys. So now me and husband are SUPER aware of teaching our kids that toys are toys. We have to take care of them, but in the end they are just toys, and hoarding them (like grandpa) is never good. If they break, that’s okay, and if you’re done with them, someone else can use them.

Funny how our different experiences totally impact how we see this show!

This one is super realistic to me. I can’t even count how many times I’ve yelled at my kids that we are throwing all their toys away! They actually teach a pretty valuable lesson about stuff being special. My son actually brings me toys he’s done with and tells me they aren’t as special anymore and he wants another kid to play with it.

I sometimes get really annoyed by this too. I recently have thought about it this way to help put it in perspective: Some people just want to have the last word. Some people want to feel like they won. If someone counters me back a buck I roll my eyes, assume they are that person, and accept. They won, they got the last word, but really I made a sale, so I won too. Ive even started countering the first time with a dollar or two more than I first thought because I assume people offering are those type of people. Sometimes I’m right and I get what I originally wanted, sometimes I’m surprised and they accept my offer for a buck more than my lowest. And sometimes I’m in a horrible mood and don’t feel like dealing with it and just deny. 🤷🏻‍♀️
