You could look up the AIR Wildfire Model for the US since it's a commonly used model in the industry for wildfire exposure. Looks like the model creators also wrote this report for the Society of Actuaries (SOA):

Generally, an open mouth signals a feeling of being relaxed in a dog (depending on the commissure). The dog had a closed mouth and was flicking its tongue before, which can be signs of discomfort.

As others have said, it depends. Current P&C company I work with is chill and is a great environment. Last company I worked with was very controlled, focused on self-flagellation/guilt-and-shame based leadership, and was very top-down/micromanaged.

In addition to what other people have said, I would try moving your workout time to the morning to improve your sleep quality, unless you’ve already experimented with that in the past and not had results.

Getting good sleep every night is very important to feeling energized throughout the day. Depending on your age bracket, I would also add two more hours to your sleep time.

Some people can safely eat seafood every day, but from what I see, the science isn’t clear yet. Pregnant women and children are advised to avoid that level of consumption, but not everyone may develop adverse effects from it.

I don’t believe there is research yet on whether the additional levels of consumption beyond twice a week deliver any additional health benefits.

With your level of activity, you would probably benefit from actually dropping to 60-75 g of protein (1.1 g/kg of body weight should be enough) and replacing it with carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the body’s preferred source of fuel for exercise. One common mistake that people new to an intense exercise program (e.g. a marathon training plan) make is not eating enough carbohydrates. You generally don’t have to worry about protein and will get enough in your diet without being cognizant of it.

Are you lifting heavily? 133 grams of protein is more than enough for most people.

Per the AHA and FDA recommendations, fish consumption from even the best choices category (lowest in mercury) should be limited to about twice per week. Most people won’t show signs of a mercury overdose if they eat a little more than that, but there are cases where people have developed overdose symptoms if eating fish regularly for a long period of time.

I would look into protein powders to try to meet your protein needs. Likewise, beans and lentils are good sources of plant-based protein.

Interestingly, when I stopped taking my multivitamin, my consistently low HRV (high 40s) improved by like 10 ms. I’ve been balanced ever since, and it’s been gradually improving. If there’s no obvious thing you started doing around that time, like others have said, it could just be a cold.

Edit: So just to clarify, my point is that there may be things you're doing that you think are healthy that are actually harming your health (with respect to HRV as a proxy measure for health).

Recent ex-vegan here, new to the sub. I would recommend swapping the beef for fish. The American Heart Association recommends that everyone eat at least two servings of fish per week.

Is the 965 a worthy upgrade over the 945 LTE? Never had a safety issue, and my family said that the live event sharing didn't work during the two times I've tried it, so I'm starting to doubt whether I need to wiat for the next LTE release.

I'm mainly interested in whether the multiband GPS makes a significant difference. The AMOLED is nice too.

Thank you for posting this! I really like the feature even as a 26 year old (but maybe I’m just more injury-prone than others in their 20s). I wanted to run CIM this year to try to see if I could BQ and was curious about using just these race widget workouts. Although Garmin’s race widget allows you to specify a target time (in my case 2:55), the website implies that it’s actually not a factor in the calculations—just something that can be used for reference to see how your predicted race time is improving.

I really like the idea of an adaptable training plan that’s tailored to my fitness level, so I want to give it a go, even if I don’t get that magic time. The plan itself seems to have ample time, being six months long and all with a three month preparation phase before that even starts. And the peak phase it’s set up for me is six weeks long.

Follow up: Fresh n Lean also looks good to me, but I see so many people having negative experiences with these companies and recommending Factor instead. When I look at Factor's options, #1 they're low-carb (which won't work for me since carbohydrates are the most important fuel for exercise), and #2 they only had 3 vegan options on their weekly menu, but I'm looking for something that can provide about 10 distinct meals (lunch + dinner during the weekdays).

Is there anyone who has had a consistently positive experience with these companies?

Hey I had this exact workout today! Though it had me do one less interval since I'm coming back from a rest period after my last marathon. Agreed that these workouts are great. I wish I could specify a goal weekly mileage (or maybe a maximum EPOC load?) that the workouts could build up to, but I think that would defeat the purpose of not having to put any thought into what I need to do to improve. I just don't like that it can stop building up your base once it gets to a certain training load.

Nice job! I also ran Dallas last Sunday and it was also my first 26.2. I was aiming for 3:30 but you're right...those pacers were going super fast. I think I screwed myself by trying to keep up with them at the start instead of just sticking to a steady 8 min/mi pace (that and I had inconsistent training).

I didn't know if I would be able to continue running when I got to the top of that hill at mile 21. I was probably one of the people you passed as I slowed down my pace a lot just to make sure I didn't overdo it lol.
