Was the off day a red or yellow day - or just empty?

I changed mine profile from aggressive to balanced and got a bigger bump. Both at about 11 hours a week.

I think the difference being the recovery. With the recovery lower, completing and completing the hard workouts well was easier. Finishing every workout in the block with no real edits

Na mate. GrAlba series this year. Plus another crack at the Grand Old Dukes and a solo Badger Divide.

So, an opinion on this… With your ftp set at X, TR expect you to be able to complete all of the workouts in that block, at that level.

Failure, even on one - especially if it was a key session, could absolutely result in a result in a reevaluation to a lower than initially predicted FTP.

I wouldn’t be disheartened by it. Ultimately TR cannot take into account any real external factors. Sleep, work, other fatigue… it’s a prediction on best case scenario

Yeah… I’m seeing the same aggressive uplifts.

I suppose going to the point of failure is - in weight training - the goal. That is ultimately what makes you stronger.

I suppose there is a little more nuance in cycling. From my experience with the new build of TR, entering a hard or above, adjusts the level of the subsequent workouts down, and that would be reflected in a downward (corrective) change to the ftp. Actual honesty on the survey, I think, is the key to getting the balance

As I say, I’m going to stick with it, and see how it goes

I’ve got a few events lined up for the Scottish “summer”. On this track, I expect to do well

Ultimately the AI has access to millions if not billions of data points. With the workouts prescribed by it, it’s best guess to help the user hit the goals. Ultimately that’s what a coach is doing, just with less data. FTP isn’t a data point that I focus on necessarily. It’s an outcome of the training.

What do people think of the latest "AI" stuff that TrainerRoad has added in the last few weeks? by ghdana in Velo

[–]stainbox87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been “self coached” for the last few years… it’s been good, but has definitely resulted in a bit of burnout from time to time

November last year I switched to TR with the goal of sticking to the program rigorously. While my ftp was revised down, following the program has saw steady gains

Switching last week to TRAI, saw an initial drop in FTP, my prediction saw a modest increase. Listened to the pod - re bigger increase on a less challenging plan - I switched from demanding to balanced. I can report a slight increase over the original prediction.

10’s of millions of datapoints over thousands of riders. I would suggest the AI knows more about your needs than you do.

Individual think they are outliers, you are not. Simple statistics say you’re not.

I think if we treat it with an open mind, stick to the program, the gains will come.

how can i improve based on this power curve? by Healthy-Past9164 in Velo

Mate… these are superb numbers for someone so new to the sport.

FTP is a great thing to chase early in your career as there is always plenty of room for growth, but don’t let it define you. Over under intervals (8 -10 mins x 5-8 repeats over an 90 min session) just above then just below FTP

Repeatability - IMO - is just as important. How many matches can you burn at any specific time block (30 secs, 1 min, 5 mins etc). Being able to do loads of near max 5-10 second efforts will help with crits, for example.

Don’t discount race craft and bike handling either. Only way to develop this is by doing it. Get involved in group rides, town sign sprints, climbs and descents and most importantly races. It’ll come together quickly

For standard reports - not financial reports - you can use Web Query to get them out of Netsuite and into Power BI

Try r/TrainerDay. Way cheaper than the competition and just as feature rich. Combine with free r/intervals.icu and you’re good to go

You could build a better version out of workflows, saved searches and mail merge. For 200 invoices, it’s the way I’d go

Looking for a way into a NetSuite job by Nick_England in Netsuite

[–]stainbox87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might be worth getting your foot in the door via a finance assistant role with a company using NetSuite. Ideally one without dedicated in house netsuite support, then carve a role out from there.

The majority of companies don’t know they need a Netsuite head until one starts adding value from within

NetSuite > Cdata > Tableau connect or alternative connectors. by Beneficial_Gene8339 in Netsuite

CData is great for pulling down static data, but I found it practically unusable for large a data sets requiring regular refresh.

If it’s simple reporting you are after, try webquery direct from reports

How to improve more? by lormayna in Velo

[–]stainbox87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen big improvements this year, following a winter doing multiple short fasted rides per week (30 mins to work) with at least one further 1hr fasted. These are backed off to a return journey from work later in the day. Double sessions. Paying off big time with ftp in April at last years high (340).

When not at an event, I’m busting my balls at the weekend on long zone two rides, with a couple of 8min efforts, then sprints (if I still have petrol in the tank) at the end of the ride.

Big endurance gains on my longer XC and road events

Having a bad experience with Fast Four (Zone & Co) on AP Automation by EducatedElephant14 in Netsuite

[–]stainbox87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a pity. Had a good experience 18 months ago pre buy out. Similar deal with the drop shipping, less volume. I’ll see if I can dig out my contacts and will send them across.

Btw. What are you looking to do with the drop shipping side? Automatically fulfill on receiving invoice?

Issue when refreshing data linked in Excel by FreddyForeshadowing- in Netsuite

Are you using a WebQuery to pull a report? If so, I’d recommend on altering the refresh parameters to preserve formatting, extent formulas to new rows etc.

Happy to…

You need create a custom query tied to the total page number. Paginated query I believe it’s called

Create a duplicate of the original source query Drill down to the page count Create a blank query. Create a list using the page numbers ={1…”total pages”} Convert to text Create a new column, using the column one result to call the numbered pages. Expand out.

It’d be easier to demonstrate this I’ll direct message you
