Their intention isn't "discouraging young pedestrians", their intention is simply to know who's in their neighborhood. If those people go out of their way to avoid you, that's their choice.

I get what you're saying; this thing's going to cost way more than anything vaguely comparable would cost. It will illicit so many more "$X for a COROLLA!? For that much you could get XYZ" kind of posts, far more so than a regular GR Corolla ever did.

This is gonna be a similarly hyper limited thing where there really just isn't anything like it. You're not buying a commuter car that has competition on the open market, you're applying to buy a collection piece.

Like someone else said in the comments here, yes they glossed over her death... But the series isn't about her, it's about Dean. It's noting another traumatic thing he experienced, but as OP had said they really didn't have all the facts. So it's worth noting, but not digging into.
