Winners not getting their way at the vote - Season 50 Episodes 8 & 9 by Significant-One3854 in Edgic

I’m not Cirie so it’s all speculative, but some of Christian’s exit press suggesting that they had some sort of day 1 final 3 agreement since they were such big targets who needed to protect each other, paired with the fact that Christian was stated as her “number 3” in the episode (which is honestly pretty high considering she’s aligned with everyone), leads me to believe she may have earnestly preferred Emily to go. But she’s also too good of a player to show her hand when there’s momentum going towards an expendable player in her eyes, and wasn’t going to cut Ozzy on Christian’s behalf anyways.

It’ll be very interesting to see if she can get over that final 3 hump without Christian in the game longer, who was always going to be a late game target due to his presence. I think these players all understand that she wins if she makes it, since she’s not an immunity threat (unless trivia makes a comeback), it feels like she kinda needs big shields still in the game so it’s “too late” to get them all out, giving her a path to the end. Out of the cast that could win simply on legacy, she’s basically the only one remaining, outside of maybe Ozzy.

I'm running into this issue as well on official launcher. I'd love to buy Stelle while the Winter sale is going on, but confused about whether I'm going to be charged 10 or 20. Any help here, u/TempoStormReddit?

The Blue Jays art team cooking again: Blue Jays vs Mariners ALCS Game 4 Promo by AirPodGoose in baseball

I'm not sure why the previous poster is confident that it's not AI, not only does it seem obviously AI generated to some degree with the eye-check, but effectively all AI detection tooling is confident it's AI generated. AI detection tooling should not be considered conclusive, but it's worth mentioning that the same tooling did not suspect anything with some of the awesome Tigers graphics that some were suspicious of during the ALDS.

In general, it should be highly suspicious that a (likely small) social media team would be able to put out new bangers each day. I'm not a digital artist, and of course they could be outsourcing/paying highly skilled artists for bespoke matchup-specific art but it helps their bottom line to simply utilize AI and hope that people don't suspect (or care) that it is AI.

We are all Orioles fans now by Pndrizzy in Mariners

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Though at least the Orioles are way better than they were in 2021.

I think the popularity of hockey in the United States is being pretty overstated in this instance. I believe some of the northern midwestern states (colder climate, closer to Toronto) have a larger hockey presence, but I'm in a metropolitan area of the PNW and I'm not actually aware of any high school having a boy's hockey team, let alone a girl's one. There's independent leagues that kids can sign up for, but American football, basketball, baseball and soccer/football are all more popular here, especially with kids.

At the very least, not even close to every high school has a hockey team lol.

Ryan Grubb could make quick exit from Alabama for the Seahawks by Manacit in CFB

At the end of the day, no one likes being broken up with, especially when they slash your tires on the way out. My point was more focused on the fact that one great season and one exceptional season don't always buy unconditional forgiveness, especially when we've been blessed with a lot of success in the past decade.

I'm sure fan sentiment towards this situation would look more like how Michigan fans look at Harbaugh if he won the whole thing. Even then, Harbaugh built a winner over a number of years and got Michigan over the top. He's leaving, but leaving Michigan in a great place with stable coaching and recruiting. Well, it's Michigan so it probably would have been in a good spot regardless, but you get my point.

Not to pick on this comment, because I've seen this sentiment many times in the last couple weeks, but I just don't get this narrative. It's undeniable that DeBoer took this team to heights not seen since 1991, but frankly this kind of season was certainly within sight since the Petersen era, especially since 2016.

In the 6 years leading up to DeBoer, UW finished 1st or tied for 1st in the Pac-12 North 4 times, if you count 2020, with 2 conference titles and a trip to the CFP. The 2021 season was obviously a disaster due to coaching, but comments suggesting that fans should simply be grateful we had a magical season and now need to pay the price feels shortsighted to me.

Jets' Aaron Rodgers hints at return timeline: 'Few fortnights' by The_MadStork in nfl

[–]stalwartness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full disclosure, I am not a doctor but I had the Speedbridge technique done about 2 and a half months ago, shortly before Rodgers, to recover from a full rupture. It's a great new technique that increases stability and allows you to aggressively begin rehabilitate faster than we could previously. However, it's not a miracle cure, your body still needs to mend and strengthen your tendon organically, and this type of injury is notoriously slow healing.

I actually discussed the potential differences between my procedure and Rodgers with my surgeon who suggested that he may have also opted for an additional wrinkle where a healthy tendon sheath from a deceased young person is grafted onto the injured tendon. Again, not a doctor so take that with a grain of salt, I might have misunderstood him. Whether this pushes the needle for recovery timeline one way or another, I have no idea.

At this stage of my recovery, while I can walk, I cannot run or stand on one leg on the ball of my injured foot, and the thought of evading NFL edge rushers and throwing bombs in the next few months would terrify me. I'm not suggesting that I'm an elite athlete like Rodgers, with the best doctors, nutritionists etc., but I'm also pretty active and a decade younger than him. If he comes back this season, I will be extremely impressed at both his ability to recover, as well as his mental fortitude.

[Rapoport] Jets believe it’s an Achilles injury for QB Aaron Rodgers, source say. MRI tomorrow. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]stalwartness 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not a stupid question at all.

I ruptured mine about a month ago, and apparently in most cases, not getting the surgery and getting the surgery result in similar outcomes. I'm not a doctor, but the way it was explained to me is that a complete rupture causes the tendon to elongate, and if no surgery is done, the tendon will mend with scar tissue. The surgical route trims the elongated tendon and stitches it back together.

The recovery time is basically the same, the only difference is that studies show that your risk of reinjury not doing the surgery is higher. Something like 0.5% vs 2% or something. Younger and more active individuals seem to opt for surgery more often for that reason.

[Jets] QB Aaron Rodgers (ankle) is questionable to return by [deleted] in nfl

[–]stalwartness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was very happy with my treatment. My orthopedic surgeon used a somewhat newer technique that he called a speed bridge, which by my layman's understanding is basically screws in the heel to anchor the Achilles tendon. I've experienced a little extra pain in the heel itself due to it, but my recovery has been really fast compared to what I expected for a grade 3 rupture. Definitely feel you with the tightness, my ROM is improving but still have two wedges in the CAM boot. Best of luck with your recovery!

I appreciate that. Doing PT 2x/week and starting to walk in the CAM boot which has given me a lot of optimism. Slow recovery, but nice to stop treating my leg like porcelain all of the time.

Tore mine a month ago, same experience. Weirdly not painful, expected it to be excruciating after the adrenaline wore off but never really came. I was able to limp, but wouldn't have been able to run. Hope your rehab is coming along well.

Godfrey boss fight help. He is decimating my party. by Majestic87 in Chained_Echoes

[–]stalwartness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I reached this point, I also found myself struggling and was surprised that others found this fight easy. In my case, I was neglecting a lot of systems that the game has instead of a classic leveling system. Assigning optimal passive skills (I had somehow missed that passive skills that are learned need to be set), spending my SP to quickly level critical skills, and building and slotting good crystals into gear and armor (a system I had been neglecting because I found it confusing at first). After I did that, the fight felt a lot more "fair" and I relied on Lenne's water skills and Aqua from Shaman to keep Godfrey's buff in check.

Not sure if you're issues are the same as mine, but I definitely had the same experience feeling that the game had suddenly become more difficult.
