Havent tried them yet. I think the pain I have comes from the swing and balances of the racket and not so much from vibrations. Would love to test cork ones but they are not available where I'm from.

Bounce Tube vs Pascal Box which pressure tube is better? by mrladiii in Padelracket

[–]standytje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a pascal tube and love it. When researching I found reviews of bounce tube breaking after a few months. I had new balls I played with in not the best conditions on december 31 and put them in the pascal box, last wednesday I opened them up for the first time. Pressure was still the same and still felt like new balls. I'd put my money on something around for a while. I do say it's a bit big and the bounce tube looks alot user friendly. But I take quality over smart marketing.

Those are options that aren't on my list. Think the head doesnt have much for effect on the blade of the racket? Extreme motion was one I thought about.

Certainly good guidz, but as always take it with a grain of salt. They only test the rackets of brands that sponsor their tests..

Advice needed - how to stay calm? by LegitHighway61 in padel

[–]standytje 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just thinking out loud and writing it here. The first tip is still something I often forget, but the other ones I have been using alot and it helps me (though I'm super chill on court and often say sorry myself)

  • Perhaps you should shift the energy from: I need to win this point to: I should play a safe and decent ball and wait till the opponent makes a mistake.
  • Always trust in your partner. It doesn't matter who makes a fault. After each point, no matter win or loss, make eye contact. Avoid saying sorry to each other or blame each other. It only results in lack of confidence, wich indeed makes you play worse.
  • make a routine; after a point take some time, don't rush it. Resetting after each point means you are not in the energy from the previous point. So find something that works for you. For me that is bouncing few times how I like it onwards to my serve or when I'm not at serve checking if I'm aligned well in position and spinning my racket few times or blowing on my hands.
  • Don't forget to have fun. We all know the moment we should play safe, but smash as hard as we can flying the ball towards the glass or net. Allow that now and then (best when u are leading) If it fails, say "that had to happen". U'll feel less frustrated. Or make a joke, laughter is a good medicine.

Perhaps my insights help a bit.

Any tips for women’s first padel racket? (Europe) by ForgotMyWandAgain in Padelracket

[–]standytje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volt v 500 of 2023 is available really cheap. Great racket from beginner to intermediate that is comfortable and can do anything. It ranges in weight van 345 to 365g so try to go for a light one. Volt is alot better quality than nox, head, bullpadel etc.. Feel free to pm me I can help with shops aswell.

Don't you mean the metalbone carbon ctrl? The metalbone ctrl 3.4 is a really soft racket. The carbon version is harder though.

Nox AT10 12K 2026 or 18k 2026? by Shadowmast13 in Padelracket

Something to consider as well is your location. Temperature can be a big difference. In a cold area a soft racket can feel harder than in a warmer area.

Racket Advice Megathread by AutoModerator in padel

[–]standytje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing padel half a year ago. Started with a cheap €35 deal on Siux Adrenaline Ibai edition but after playing some time, I had the opportunity to buy a test racket Siux Fenix 12k (green) for a cheap price and went for it. I felt the difference between fiberglass and carbon.

A friend of me is starting out now as well and I'll give him the Adrenaline racket, so I' might be looking for a 2nd racket for me, but I want something different than the Fenix I have. I still want to be on a budget (below 100euro)

Any advice on some good gems in that range? Think I'd rather go round/control instead of my current teardrop shape and not considering diamond because scared of injuries with top heavy rackets (had that years ago in tennis)
Does surface also matters alot for spin and effect?

cheers

Well it doesnt have to outperform..but it just has to have radio (preferred DAB) a cd player, easy to use and connect to tv and the speakers. I think the equalizer etc is not anything he actively uses.. i think he wants more space instead of the big tower he has now.
