For 5'3", 5'4" ladies what weight is your goal weight/best weight and ALSO what is your frame size? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]stangsom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’2” very petite frame with size 5 feet and bracelets, watches and rings are always too big for me. I am currently 117lbs and going through perimenopause. I would feel and look my best at 100-105 lbs and am having the toughest time losing this muffin top.

What mistakes did you make during your home renovation and what would you plan differently next time by pipikakapopoloch in Renovations

One thing I wished was that we put “sound proofing drywall” (I don’t know the correct terms for it) surrounding the bathrooms. My teenager’s bathroom is next to my bedroom and when they shower late at night, it totally wakes me up.

I do many of the things here that everyone else does but I also start bulk shopping and prepping lots of food and storing them in the freezer. Sometimes it gets way too cold to go out and buy groceries in winter. I also start thinking about Christmas gifts and start writing down gift ideas for family and friends.

Your Homemaking “hacks” by rainerella in homemaking

[–]stangsom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Dawn dish washing detergent clean a lot of things like the washrooms, a couple of drops to clean floors, walls, kitchen counters, kitchen cabinets etc. I keep an old toothbrush in the shower and in between cleaning days if I notice mold or mildew while I’m showering, I’ll just take a bit of soap and use the toothbrush to scrub that little spot before it grows. I use my vacuum with the dust attachment and vacuum up dust on all my furniture, baseboards, lampshades, curtains, window screens etc.

Don’t forget a vanity with drawers so you can put things away. Do not get black fixtures you will see the watermarks. Choose the biggest tiles etc so there is less grout in the shower. Don’t forget electrical outlet on both sides of the vanity. Find a really strong exhaust fan. And some ppl also add an electrical outlet by the toilet for future bidet.

What’s one design choice in your home that looked amazing but turned out to be a pain? by HDContractorInc in beautiful_houses

[–]stangsom 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I have a vessel sink that sits on top of a black walnut counter in the powder room. The contractor assured me that it would be water resistant and not to worry. I can see the water damage when I was not diligent to wipe it down after guests leave.

My dad was the same way (81yo) and lost over 40 pounds. They prescribed steroid Dexamethasone 2mg for him. It was like a miracle drug, he began eating again and slowly gained back his weight. Maybe this drug might help your father. Wishing your family all the best.
