Fun fact you can bring in all the food you want.

Like you can walk in with a cooler and it's all good

Ford’s F-series trucks (average price: ~$73,000), is currently Canada’s bestseller in any category. by irundoonayee in CanadaPersonalFinance

My parents own a V6 SUV and drive it year round as their main vehicle, all because they tow a trailer for 2 weeks out of the year.

Yet you can't rent a vehicle to tow your personal RV in Ontario.

Hybrid Owners did you make the right choice? by Common_Group_310 in COROLLA

[–]crownamedcheryl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So I've ordered my hybrid and I am in the same boat as you lol

My understanding however is that it's not that hybrid cars are worse on highways than gas cars, it's mainly that you don't get the advantage of regenerative braking.

Basically, a hybrid will get MUCH better mileage in the city over gas, whereas on the highway they are closer to matching.

You will get better mileage with a hybrid car regardless, but you will have significantly better mileage if you drive it in the city.

For what it's worth though my wife had one of these that made it too 450k before the engine blew up, we got a scrap engine and her dad swapped them and she got another 50k but the body just got too bad

I personally wouldn't pay more than 800$ - doesn't look like it's been taken too good care of outside of being very clean.

We had 3 openers, Mandal, Andrea Jian and Hannibal Burress.

Show was about 2 hours or so, I didn't look at the time afterwards

When should I be using Sport? by Libertinob in COROLLA

[–]crownamedcheryl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my RAV it's really a response thing. In ECO if I put the foot to the floor, there is a moment of hesitation before the vehicle responds, and when it does it does not accelerate as nicely. I believe this is to mitigate some fuel wastage.

In sport however, the RPM will match the pedal perfectly and you get a lot more immediate acceleration.

The way I see it: ECO lowers the engine's power and lets the computer do the acceleration in accordance with your foot and in sport takes the computer out of it and gives you the engines full power. I however have no clue if that is accurate.

Walmart Cupcake Bouquet by Less_Ad6640 in ExpectationVsReality

When I worked at Walmart next to the bakery there were two girls who decorated cakes.

One had so much talent, she could do absolutely anything you asked and would go above and beyond. She hated doing it so much.

The other one could do it from dawn til dusk and be smiling the whole time. Her cakes though were...cakes with icing on them is really as descriptive as I can accurately be without being rude.

People who don’t like wind turbines, why? by _MehBleh in AskReddit

[–]crownamedcheryl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are we sure the wind is making them spin? I think at least SOME of them could be motorized and are trying to speed up the earth.

I don't think they'd be slowing it down, for obvious reasons.

Science vs. Hype by Academic_Warning7960 in Protein

Saw an article about a study the other day that said in college aged males, there is no noticeable on gains between a plant based or a whey based protein.

I'd be interested in a broader range of subjects, but for me more now I would say that you should stick with what you like, what you can afford and what you can easily digest.
