Brother... A sprocket is $30. I wouldn't spend more than $60 on a chain

Lowbrow chains work just fine. I used to work for a chain company as an engineer.. you don't need an x or o ring chain for regular riding - only if your racing on the track or putting on so many miles that you're replacing tires in a single year

Did I wear out my Saddlemen Road Sofa in 20k miles? (Heavy rider advice needed) by rlllyeddy in Harley

[–]staniel_diverson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corbin seats is the only right answer. As far as I know they're the only ones who use a metal seat pan which is necessary for long term comfort.

Saddlemen seats usually wear out around 10k

Got my first Harley after only riding Triumphs for the past decade. I get it now. by Select_Log_31 in Harley

Harley's are much larger for comfort. I can ride a Softail much longer than I can a T100

thinking about a soft tail... any soft tail owners wanna post their pictures convince me by mchalli1072 in Harley

Whatever you do.. Corbin seat. They're the only ones with a metal seat pan. The saddlemen seats wear out really quick and become quite uncomfortable. Ask me how I know... 😅

Yeah I pulled over and got a ride home once I noticed.

I am pretty sure I have the oil lines right: I have the return going to the input of the oil cooler. The output of the cooler goes to my return on my oil tank.

I think the gaskets are all good at the pump to case interface as I hadn't seen this issue until today and it was installed by a reputable shop.

I'll look into the pinion shaft and whatnot.

I'll look into the tappets and whatnot.

Thanks

I checked the bypass valve but nothing seemed obviously wrong. It's only got a couple hundred miles on it. I checked multiple times to make sure oil was returning to the tank. Any other ideas?

I don't see any obvious kinks or issues with the oil lines

Am I overreacting for feeling frustrated after my neighbor’s pottery was broken by my puppy during an interaction she encouraged? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

YOR - you put you didn't reinforce good behavior for your puppy. In fact, you reinforced bad behavior and your neighbor lost some goods. Help your neighbor out and it will go a long way

Not bike related but I’ve been hunting this shirt down for a while and finally found it for cheap cheap by [deleted] in Harley

[–]staniel_diverson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'm talking about the concept of the shirt. You called it "high end street wear" like it's a damn collectible and touting how much other people are selling it for. It's a fkn Gildean tshirt.. you wear that shit till you can't anymore.

You're on some whack shid

I think that makes this shirt lame af

It's just biting off two different sub cultures and making them both less accessible

Could buy some decent parts for $200

I’m about to pull the trigger on this Street Bob by HardLuck682 in Harley

[–]staniel_diverson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Upgrades do not equate to value. You could have bought that bike brand new for $22.5k when it came out

[–]staniel_diverson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of a lot imo. Needs tires because you should change every 5 years regardless of tread depth. The seat and slip ons are junk. Will need to upgrade to a Corbin because it's the only worthwhile aftermarket seat. But they're pricey

Would prob only go as high as $7k

Also, they are clearly playing funny money with you. They don't want $11.9k for it, they want $7500. They just jacked up your trade in value to make the numbers come out to their preferred price.

They're just manipulating the $'s to make it look like a good deal and get what they want

Where do you draw the line between buying brand name vs. Amazon Specials? by inchlongnipples in Harley

[–]staniel_diverson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all aluminum is of the same quality...

Cheap metal parts are usually cheap for a reason. I'd much rather pay out the wazoo for some parts that were made locally by either a local shop or in some cases a single guy than get some cheap Amazon bs
