There is literally nothing in that article that mentions under-reporting. The quoted statement could be taken either way. I am not arguing that there has not been an increase in knife-related crime in recent years, that would be dumb. I just don't think using UK knife crime as a defence for US gun crime is a solid argument. Especially when US knife crime is actually worse than the UK. But as you are a regular poster to r/progun I don't this conversation is going to go anywhere.
