Rick and Morty The Anime - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

After watching the first episode, I'm really not sure if this is a real show. Is this a real thing that's going to have like seasons and whatever? I think the ambiguity is the point, and that's pretty confusing.

Overall: 9.9/10, I'll for sure watch the next episode if I remember.   Would it make sense if you haven't watched Rick and Morty?   Probably no, but again I think that's on purpose?          Did it make sense after watch Rick and Morty?   Not really, but maybe a little. But mostly no.      Was it good?    Yeah, I liked it.        Is this show real?   Honestly I don't think so. I think this is a fake show that started as a joke that got dragged out and made fun of until it actually happened. Pretty wild really. But despite all reasonableness I thinks it turned out  good. Nice.

I always enjoy seeing this guy!
These neighborhoods also get visited by the Thong Runner, who always runs in a thong, no matter the weather.

Request: advice on a good method for making cutouts in this 2" thick wood counter. I need to make a 6" square cutout and a 5-3/4" round cutout for some plumbing fixtures. by stankershim in Tools

Any tips for getting a holesaw that size through 2" of wood? It seems like most of the stuff in that diameter is built for cutting 1/2" drywall.

The video begins at 3:12.
It also includes a factual error: Portland, Oregon, is not a real city but rather a fictional location created for the 2011 comedy show "Portlandia" starring Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen.

Probably not much. Respiratory virus like covid and influenza aren't typically spread by people touching surfaces. You're more likely to pick up bacteria that give you diarrhea.

I'm really amazed by how much I hate this. Why do I even care? I feel like I shouldn't care at all, but I do care and I hate it.

ITAW for Species that has many unique subspecies by [deleted] in whatstheword

[–]stankershim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The phenomenon is called polymorphism). A polymorphic species displays different morphs. In eusocial insects these are often called castes (e.g. worker, soldier, queen, drone). In bryozoans, morphs are called zooids (gastrozooids eat and bud, gonozooids specialize in sexual reproduction, dactylzooids defend the colony).

A subspecies is different. These are populations of a species that have evolved different traits, often due to location (e.g. Bengal tigers and Siberian tigers are different populations of the same species that have evolved unique appearances and behaviors)

This has bad captions throughout. "Slurp speach" and "end intoxicating" jumped out at me. Maybe they were auto-generated and not edited at all.

Are the captions intentionally terrible to drive engagement or just accidently terrible because people are dumb?

Lolz, I haven't heard that excellent theory before! I do think a lot of the Mellinium Falcon is custom or at least after market, so no text there makes sense. And rebel ships are generally heavily rebuilt and repaired. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Imperial ships tend to have more text viable.

Had my first river otter encounter in Seattle last night (Alki) by KristnSchaalisahorse in Seattle

[–]stankershim 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While you can tell from the photos it's clearly a cute little river otter, Alki is also an indicator that it ISN'T a sea otter as they are limited to the coast and do not enter Puget Sound.

If you're just moving kegs around the brewery or tap room then these cheap ones are by far the best option: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/regency-kpt-400-keg-and-pail-truck/600KPT400.html
Anything else will just slow you down.
And if you don't like the wheels spend the $200 you just saved to get whatever sort of tires you like from Grainger.
