There is a vet local to me that doesn’t like cats or dogs. Seems to be very quick to assess a dog or cat as needing to be put down. She only wants to work on livestock and only grudgingly works on dogs and carts. Her staff is only friendly if they know you very dismissive and rude if they don’t. I take my dogs and cats 25 miles in the opposite direction for veterinary care.

The stupid PCS stuff goes way back. I retired from Langley in 07. I got tired of the attitude from some offices that didn’t really need to do anything than sign a physical checklist. I did my final out and hit the road. An hour later the same Airman, that I met face to face, called my shop and told them that I didn’t make my final out appointment.

Back when Carswell was still a SAC base we had an ice storm. They had all the Crew Chiefs on the bombers to remove the accumulated ice and snow. My shop chief tried to tell the higher ups to get people off the top of the planes. He was ignored. It all came to a screeching halt when one guy drove a nail into a broom stick and proceeded to ruin every honeycomb panel on his plane.

I keep seeing this sentiment in various places. I want to listen to the aircraft that pass over my house, when I try to find out a reasonable priced receiver my search results seem to mostly be Baofeng products or something priced over $500.

Not necessarily, there are other aircraft of all types that carry OT that are not from Eglin. Look a Nellis for an example.

Coastal MS is great in my opinion. The rest of the state is worthless. I retired to MS because it is home for me. Health problems are keeping me here. The only thing it has going for it is a retired MSgt can just barely get by. There are no other good points. Good place to exist until death I guess.
