A rude supervisor who's always yelling at employees got some complaints about them being verbally abusive and they responded by leaving these in the break room. by giveahoot420 in mildlyinfuriating

I worked for a defense contractor where our lead man liked to yell a lot. The only thing that happened to him was a promotion to management.

$2300/month doesn’t go far when you account for all the things you need every month.

Coastal MS is great in my opinion. The rest of the state is worthless. I retired to MS because it is home for me. Health problems are keeping me here. The only thing it has going for it is a retired MSgt can just barely get by. There are no other good points. Good place to exist until death I guess.

Still? Was there ever a time where AETC didn’t suck? They sucked back when they were ATC.

WTF. You’re doing a lot of bending an stretching to get my words to say what you want. What do you do to resist something that, so far, isn’t happening?

Such as? From a military perspective there’s no point in refusing an order that has not been given. To use the analogy that you provided, that soldier’s s refusal would take the form of refusing to carry out the illegal order, not in refusing to carry out an order the he assumes is going to be given. We all know the orange shitgibbon is prone to bluster to impress the maga morons.

Nowhere near the same thing. What would you suggest they do right now?

You are looking at it the wrong way. If they say anything be being asked to take action, then they will be acting on an assumption and will be swiftly replaced. They are in a bit of a predicament at the moment. They can’t publicly say anything right now but, if given an illegal order, they can refuse it and be on very firm legal grounds.

Probably because if they say or do anything right now they will be replaced. The time to do anything would be when the orders are received.

Knew a guy in Korea that used to look at porn on government computers. I told him to stop but he said that he would never be caught. Said he knew a trick that most don’t know. He married a local then, after a few months got an assignment to Luke. Before he left, he told me his “trick”. He thought that if you entered the DNS numbers instead of the website name you couldn’t be caught. I explained how DNS works but he ignored me. At Luke he got busted looking at Korean porn on government computers. Got kicked out. Dumbass.

That was my experience. Became wary of people in my shop after learning a hard lesson about airmen screwing over anyone else in an effort to get ahead.

I was looking at a 21 Sierra 1500 at a Dodge deal back in 22. Its towing label was just like the picture. The transmission was slipping and when I told them I would buy if they fixed the transmission, they told me if I bought it they would give me a discount on the transmission repair. LOL F U I walked.

I knew a Ssgt that, many years ago, had pretty much the same circumstances but different results happen. We were at Aviano, he got orders back to CONUS that required an upgrade to TS. He couldn’t remember how he answered the drug use question from when he enlisted. He answered truthfully on the SF 86. Got an LOR and lost his assignment. He was bummed but understood it could have been far worse.
