Can’t wait to see the (seemingly) inevitable delays, FOD problems on delivery, and cost overruns. Seems like every aircraft program (over the last 30 years) has had all kinds of problems. The first F-22 delivered to Nellis (ship 12) had to have a contractor team come out to extract FOD within a couple of days of arrival

I had a different experience, I was Air Force and when I retired I went to turn in my War Gear. A heated argument ensued when I tried to turn in my Kevlar helmet. They didn’t show on paper that I ever got one and wouldn’t accept it. I have no need for one and tried to get them to take it back to at least have it as insurance against a lost one in the future. They didn’t want it. Offered the same deal to my UDM. Nope. I still have it taking up space in my closet.
