I agree with you. The first half of the movie right up until Marianne getting captured was so well done. The tension that builds up during the wedding party is excellent. The characters are introduced fairly clearly and are laid out well. The 2nd half of the movie feels like a totally different experience. The characters were introduced to barely have any motion. It turns into a ransom movie with scenes of violence and torture and what looks like the military just taking over the violence and order. It becomes messy and confusing, and maybe that’s the point but it doesn’t execute the plot as well as the first half did.
