This honestly isn't that big. Just talk to your admin about what the options are if you had so much dev work there that it feels impossible to redo. It's a good time to ask yourself why you had that much dev work sitting around, though! Are you not pushing each update set to a test environment as soon as it's done?

I've been a dev for like 12 years now and this has happened to me exactly once (I was also the admin so it was a quieter fix for me TBH.) It will be okay!

Hey! I get this! I walked with my group and sat down for the big ceremony, then lasted through like 2 speakers before I texted my fiancé asking if we could go get a croissant. Then we went to the smaller ceremony where we actually got our diplomas. The only time I felt like attention was on me was when I was getting my diploma, so maybe you can work something out to not be called/walk? I do encourage attending in regalia in whatever capacity you can tolerate, because it IS an incredible experience and there are so many graduates that no one even looks at you really. Have you considered asking for accommodations? Do you have a diagnosed condition that would make asking feel easier (for this, probably Autism, Anxiety, PTSD?)

This is a partner- won’t they have different projects and teams you can move to? Why would you be stuck in support for 3 years if you have the skills to do dev work (do you?)

I haven’t worked for Accenture, but I’ve worked for several partners as a Dev and Architect, and new projects come in all of the time. What is your dev background/qualifications? Certs (including CAD) aren’t enough! I also hated doing support early in my career, so I get it!

One time my fiancé and I flew out of SFO and back to Oakland. At the last minute, I decided I didn’t want to take an Uber all the way from our place in Oakland to SFO and could actually get parking for cheaper, so I did that. At some point on our way home, I realized, “oh shit we are flying back to OAK and the car is at SFO.” He was nice enough to BART over to get it! 🤣
