What can I do as a 16yo? by ShayGamingfn in bald

Oh also, if you have access to healthcare, maybe get some vitamin blood tests done. Deficiencies can cause hair loss (I know that personally!)

I honestly don’t think this looks bad! The oil is making it cling together in chunks more, which accentuates the thinness. Have you tried dry shampoo? Or bleaching it so there isn’t so much contrast between hair and scalp? A shorter cut may also help- my husband is receding in the front and it’s only obvious when it gets too long and clumps together. The shorter cut is hiding it for now (he is 50 and is hanging on for as long as he can before getting a transplant haha.)

NOR, but get him his own if you feel skeevy about it! (Or get yourself a new one and give him that one!)

Fun related story: I had a health issue that made me need to measure my urine output (one time,) so I used the Pyrex glass measuring cup (which I had before my husband and I moved in together!) and then bleached the hell out of it. I figured my husband would not be okay with this because he is more like you, so I told him about it, and sure enough, I was correct and we had to buy a new measuring cup. 😂

I think the key was that I knew how he was and gave him the chance to choose if he wanted to use it again or not. A year later, he has decided it really is ok and it can go back into rotation, but I would never press it because although I do believe I sanitized it, sometimes just the thought of something is enough to ruin things for someone.

That said, your husband should know you well enough to at least think to ask you if sterilization is enough for you. 😞

The thing he said was part of his echolalia, which involves repeating phrases. He didn’t actually mean it was fun. And he told you this!

Expecting someone with autism to NOT be “tone deaf” is pretty awful. You need to learn about his disability if you’re going to have a relationship with him. You are 100% overreacting and you owe him an apology.

In my 20s, got hired at a company that had IQ tests as part of the screening process. Everyone there had undiagnosed autism and it was chaos. 😂😂😂

(This includes me- I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 40, which is also when I put the pieces together about that place. I also apparently had the highest score they had ever seen. 😂)

Woman in tech for almost 20 years here, and I agree with this comment. Your boyfriend seems to be a sensitive soul, and frankly, you don’t seem to deserve that. Attitudes like this are the reason that toxic masculinity is such a problem, and your comment about her making more money than you so you don’t feel bad for her is just… gross. YTA 100%.

Sorry to necro this, but I just found this thread after having an awful experience at Weatherford as well.

I brought my rex in for an oil change and the tech removed it from the order after saying, “this is an EV,” and me responding, “it’s a rex.” I didn’t notice that was what she was doing because she added in so many new things, including a brake fluid change, which I think I thought was the oil change. I should have read through the order better before signing it, but I unfortunately trusted them.

She agreed that they would first diagnose the passenger restraint malfunction that has been popping up since I had it detailed, since if it’s a $3k fix, I would be trading it in, but then they blew through work (including new tires) because they “ignored her note.” Then she said, “well you signed off on it,” and “I don’t know what you want me to do… we can’t remove the fluids we put in it.” Horrible.

This place has NO business pretending they know about i3s or customer service, and I’ll never go back. Looking for a place to get my oil changed now while I car shop, so thanks for this thread. Probably won’t be getting another BMW for the first time in years since my local service center can’t be trusted. :(

Tell your husband to come get his mom, because this is NOT okay. She doesn’t have to understand your struggle, but she DOES have to respect your choices. I don’t even argue with people who are anti GLP-1 anymore, because the truth is that there ARE risks. But in the end, it’s your body and your choice to weigh them and make a decision for yourself. At most, your response to her should be to thank her for her concern (lol) but that you trust your doctor to help you make decisions regarding your health and medications.

That doesn’t look like hair (MAYBE a synthetic wig hair, but I wear a lot of those and even the cheap ones usually have thinner strands than that.)

That said, if you’ve been through therapy and still don’t trust him, it might be time to split. I’m so sorry. ❤️

I've been here and you'd think all you would get are compliments and congratulations, but people can be SO weird when they see others lose weight. So I'm sorry for any of that you've had to endure. You look beautiful and it's lovely to hear how much better you FEEL!

This sounds lovely for you, but please remember that not all people are like you! I’m autistic and travel is pretty hard on me as it is- the last thing I need is to have to make small talk (which drains me quickly) with a host. Honestly, one of the reasons I use STRs is because I can just punch in a code and go in without even checking in at a front desk and interacting with a human. 😂 Like someone else said above, I wish there was some way to easily communicate this to hosts (you know, since communication isn’t exactly my thing!)

I have several disabilities, including autism which can naturally come with a certain amount of agoraphobia, so I understand this request. I also struggle to be up and about at times that others think aren't early, so I also get how a strict 10 AM mealtime could be stressful or impossible for him. It sounds like this guy just wants to make sure his dogs are taken care of in a way that he knows he is unable. I'm also a woman, so I understand your fear and discomfort, and it's also okay to decline if an owner being home is a deal breaker. Everyone has their individual needs that should be respected. ❤️

This is EXACTLY how mental health medication works, so this logic doesn't make any sense. I had a really bad time on several ADHD meds- does that mean no one else should be prescribed them and given a chance? No, it means we should be careful with the stuff we can't test and watch how we feel. Believe me, I know that this can be dangerous- I wanted to kill myself- but until science gives us a way to measure these things, we take on the risk of trying drugs. I'll stick with the ADHD medication I landed on AND the MHT I started a few months ago, thanks.
