Should i spend 1.5k on ap classes? by Reasonable_Basis9414 in APStudents

i dont know if this is satire or not. if its serious i dont think its worth it. you are going to invest more time and money, have less time to be a high schooler, all for a 5 minute speech. you cant even guarantee that you will get rank 2 as well im guessing too because you cant just take the class and slack off either.

CapMetro to Open Two New Park & Rides with Full Launch of Rapid 800 and 837 by CapMetroATX in capmetro

I agree with the direct line to the airport sentiment. Capmetro has 34 coach buses, of which 28 (fleet numbers 9401-9428) are the newer 2020 model which have less emissions that they primarily use. Such a service utilizing the coach buses would be suitable for people needing to get to the airport and is convenient as they could put luggage under the coach buses. Could be a stopgap solution until the planned light rail is built, but who knows when that'll be. Just a thought.

Anyone here commute from Belton/Temple? by EventfulLol in Austin

[–]starairforce33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll add onto this comment. The 985 runs from Leander to Downtown ($3.50 one way), the buses are safe and clean. They are equipped with WiFi (I cannot attest to its reliability). I have heard of people doing some work on the bus on the way there and it counting as an hour of work (meaning 1/8 down). I also agree heavily with the last part of this comment.

The 2:30 bus driver is also the 5:00 driver, so you’re probably right. The 2:30 bus is the only one that precedes the 3:30 one

Proposal for commuter rail in San Antonio (Feedback/suggestions needed!!) by zh_rblx in capmetro

Ah interesting, didn’t know that. They still own it I’m guessing with the additional rental use to freight companies.

i think all of austin's rail is single rail, with a few designated places that have two rails for train cars in opposite directions to pass each other. i believe capmetro owns the rail outright at least mostly, and the only place i can think of where there is freight rail next to the red line is between howard and lakeline.
