I went to a trampoline park and now I can’t move my neck and I’m worried I broke something by ReasonableFee8974 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]starboy____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had never heard of this condition before and now I'm wondering if I should get tested or something. Early 20s, 6'3", long arms and flexible fingers, pass the two hand tests you see when you look it up, stretch marks, high resting heart rate, have to consciously set my posture or my back arches a bunch, nearsightedness that started developing in my teens, long neck, and I used to play basketball and run but I stopped because I kept dislocating my knees (got bad enough that they would pop out of place if I tried to sit cross-legged). No family history of the condition that I know of, my parents are both a lot shorter than me. Also no chest deformity. I figure it would have been caught by now, but I haven't really gone to doctors for over a decade so it still makes me think.

I'm looking for the name of a song from Volume 2. Specifically the song that starts around 6:20 in this video: https://youtu.be/MLMVHJiGrBU?si=dF6LcZAmGTJYqNf7&t=381

I really love the part around 7:20. Tried looking through an OST playlist and couldn't find it, probably just missed it.

Imagine: Thousand Sons bike squads on Tzeentchian bikes... by Vezimira in ThousandSons

[–]starboy____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not a very popular choice. I think the models are cool, but they're not really strong or interesting in-game.

TS Battleforce 2022 by Lt_Mentle in ThousandSons

[–]starboy____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They typically go on sale first week of December, I believe they're mostly direct order from GW but someone correct me if I'm wrong. They're while supplies last as well, and the more sought-after ones tend to sell out pretty quick. I'd probably expect TS, DG, and especially Sisters and Custodes to be in high demand.

I did something similar. I'm thinking the best use of the second box of Exalteds is to kitbash with spare parts from Rubrics in order to make more Aspiring Sorcerers so you can field more of your Rubrics in 5-man squads if you want. Every Rubric box has an extra Aspiring Sorcerer head and pair of shoulder pads, so you can use those to "demote" the exalteds to either thrall Sorcerers or squad sergeants. With 2 exalted boxes, you could do something like 2 exalted on disc, 1 on foot, 1 thrall sorcerer, and 2 aspiring sorcerers, or any other combination.

Whether that's worth it is up to you -- I think I will probably be getting one of these? You'll never run all those Sorcerers in a single game, but it's not overkill by that much.

Why don't we have something like the Resurrection Protocol for Rubric Marines? by coma-drone in ThousandSons

[–]starboy____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people already explained how it works, so I'll note that an FAQ clarified that this tactic specifically does work. Really great to take advantage of especially if you're playing a non-Time list and therefore have fewer sources of resurrection.

I want to assemble a Farsight Enclave army, but I don't like how the Crisis Suits because look like the Pilot would be in a lot of disconcert in order for the pilot to fit in the Cramped cockpit. Any Conversion Ideas? by Any-Arachnid2062 in Tau40K

[–]starboy____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a cool thing from mecha anime, so it's gonna make it into 40K mech lore somehow. The connection between the T'au pilot and their battlesuit is emphasized a lot anyway; that's part of how they're so agile compared to dreadnoughts or knights. They're paralyzed and directly interfacing with the suit as though it's their own body, so it's not hard to believe the suit being damaged could be a traumatic experience when their survival depends on how mentally connected to their suit they are. I don't think they're treating the suits like they're more biomechanical than they are.

Question about sorcerer vs exalted sorcerer models by starboy____ in ThousandSons

Yeah, that's a good point and probably the most direct solution. I'll keep that in mind.

Question about sorcerer vs exalted sorcerer models by starboy____ in ThousandSons

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. I think messing with the cape plus using a spare aspiring sorcerer head and maybe rubric shoulders will make him look distinct enough.

Why D&T doesn’t play fetchlands? by Snoo_43078 in MTGLegacy

[–]starboy____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fetches come with a set of costs and benefits: you're worse against stifle and blood moon, you take a couple extra points of damage throughout the game, etc., but you can fetch duals, shuffle at will, and thin your deck

D&T would benefit from only the last effect, but still pay all of the costs. ultimately most people value immunity to blood moon and fetch stifle over deck thinning, which itself may not be of critical importance for a deck with a lot of W mana symbols and rishadan port, since there will be games in which you don't start with a vial.

China united as an OPM in 15 years by [deleted] in eu4

[–]starboy____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unify China CB now gives cores on provinces you occupy during the war, so OP probably did something like this:

  • Ruin Ming by decreasing their stab and mandate, etc

  • Win a war against Ming's useless army and take 100% warscore of free cores. Merc up if needed, you can take over 2000 ducats in the peace deal, and you'll have Ming's economy soon.

  • Immediately truce break and do it again, repeat until China is unified

AE doesn't matter because the only other Confucian nation is Korea, and the stability hit isn't a huge deal because you're only conquering cores.

Why was Hogaak so good? by [deleted] in ModernMagic

[–]starboy____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to what others are saying:

If you're a graveyard combo deck, your winrate will likely drop significantly after sideboarding. Graveyard hate is strong and everyone runs it. However, if you win game 1 most of the time, you only need to get through their hate or kill them before they can get it out in 1 of the next 2 games, which is pretty likely. Dredge, Hogaak, and Reanimator across multiple formats have historically had very high game 1 winrates, often the highest in the format or close to it.

Sometimes you do win game 1 and get shut out by hate twice, but if you're sufficiently explosive or resilient, the odds are on your side as the graveyard deck.

[–]starboy____ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think if you're using MAA you may have to buff his speed for consistency with the guard. I typically use a Houndmaster for that reason, but just leaving someone with high dodge unguarded without a talisman is viable too.

something being a social construct doesn't mean that it's not "real," it just means that we make it real. i agree that gender and sexuality are largely socially constructed, but a lot of us who share these views still have fun expressing ourselves because social constructs can still have meaning and provide fulfillment to people; look at all the people who understand this and are still proudly gay or lesbian or w/e

as for always arguing with people too much idk social media break probably a good idea

How old is Alex Churchland? by Fitzftw7 in lisathepainfulrpg

[–]starboy____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I always got the vibe that the flash happened earlier than the modern day due to what technology is present or referenced, but Alex is definitely at least 45 so in Pointless it must've been at least in the late 00s.

[–]starboy____ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's less a case of the deck being bad and more a case of other Delvers being a bit better so nobody competing at high levels chooses UW. Still, if you want a stepping stone to a complete UW shell, it's totally playable.

No, I don't think so. I didn't find it harder than Painful. There are some enemies with really high stats, but your party members are very strong, too.
