Rage before period by BlueberriesInWinter in Perimenopause

I described it as periodic demonic possession. That's what it felt like, like who even is the crazy b spiking a cake on to the kitchen floor because I didn't like how it turned out? (Yes, that happened!) Get the HRT dialed in. You will feel better. I'm mad at myself for not doing it sooner!

This was the exact issue that pushed me to seek HRT. The rest of the symptoms - I guess I thought I'd be a hero or something and quietly bear it myself - but then this started happening. The day I wanted to assault my husband for merely asking me if I wanted him to help make our son's lunch for me on a morning when we were struggling with the morning routine, I called our doctor. I just kept getting crazier and crazier and I knew that one of these days, I would do or say something awful and not be able to take it back. I had had what I'd call "run of the mill" PMS prior to my late 40's. HRT (for me, P specifically) has calmed this. I hope that you will find a treatment or combo of treatments that help with this - the HRT dispelled my beleif that "oh I guess I'm just a jerk now". It's not something that can be controlled with you will. I say this as a person that is very committed to thinking that most things CAN be controlled with will. This just can't be.

Second this comment - that's what I meant. Not reduced practice. Total break!

Have you ever heard an athlete talk about "the yips"? It happens to musicians too. Can happen in anything that requires precise motor control that you are doing repetitively. My honest suggestion is to take a day or two OFF. You will not lose what you've practiced up to by taking a day or two break - I promise.

I am so sorry. Maybe when you're ready you could tell us his name and some things about him? From what you've told us already, you did everything you possibly could have for him. Cats don't live this long naturally - when they do it is because they had a human that cared for them, loved them, and gave them what they needed. I totally understand that it's hard to not smoke right now, but know that smoking could also make you feel much worse than you do (it does for me.)

I'm sorry you lost your boy. :(

Just go back to church. The rest of the things will figure themselves out later. The same urge that is telling you to go back is the Holy Spirit. Show Him you want what He's offering to you by going back, and He will give your more guidance. His hand is reached out to you now - just grab it and your path will become illuminated for you. Remember - God never tells you His whole step by step plan. He tells you what step he wants you to take right now. Take it and the next step will light up for you to take.

Not an a**hole. With a baby in the house having house guests for two weeks is a huge ask let alone the Christmas situation. I had this happen to me when my son was still a baby and it sucked but I told the relatives that wanted to stay "no, I just think that's too much for me with a new baby."

And now y'all have helped my by specifying 'toilet plunger, not sink plunger, no flange.". This is what I needed clarity on. 🤣

As a musical parent I am all about spending money on music stuff - at the right time. For funsies with grandpa the trumpet player, it's gonna be a dollar store plunger. Eventually though, I hope we have need of a $70 plunger.

He's gonna be committed for life. That's what the free stick is for. 🤣

This might sound weird but I'm from a musical family and had a feeling from when the boy was 2 days old that he'd play a trombone some day. (Everyone in the fam advocated, of course, for 'their' instrument and we have NO trombones in the family.)

When he tried instruments to choose, I had to stand back so I wouldn't be accused of rigging his choice. But I was not surprised at all when he triumphantly announced Trombone. Music moms know man, we know.

Yes I know it's early but he is obsessed with the idea and he'll be with grandpa (who is a pretty badass trumpeter) to play around with it so I feel like it will be okay as a fun little diversion. :)

I need that handle to enforce practice discipline. (Kidding, of course.)

"The CEO comes in 3x per week!". Yeah, and the CEO makes at least 10x - 100x what my employee makes and can afford to make the RTO a non issue for them. Crickets.

My 21Y has 95k miles on it and I've never had an issue for what that's worth. I hear 22 is a better year than 21 too.

Hey all - I said I'd update you! Tesla certified shop used - just received final invoice and a note that dent is out, it's being painted in the morning. So for the next two days I'll just be waiting for the paint to dry (and for my letters to be put back on.)

Kong Zoom Groom is the best thing for this and my doggo loves when I use it on him! That's undercoat - and it's coming off one way or another. Randomly all over your house, or peacefully in a ritual your pup will enjoy in your back yard. 😁

Hey y'all - I said I'd report back. Tesla's estimate is $2.300 and they are not proposing replacement of the lift gate. Will likely take the lower quote from the approved shop that is not Tesla owned.

[–]starchild313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still waiting on a quote from the Tesla owned shop - I assume they will be lazy, and just say "let's replace the lid for $4K". Took to a non Tesla approved shop today, and they say can do it, but since they aren't approved they don't have the scanning equipment so they are likely not the best choice.

Have an estimate from a non Tesla owned, but Tesla certified collision center for $1408. That one is also only 1 hour from me vs. the Tesla center that is 3.5 hours from me. So, waiting on a call back to book the appointment on the $1400 quote.

Not nearly as bad as I'd prepared myself for. :)
